We’ve been lied to this whole time. Destiny was never a franchise about fighting aliens with space magic. Destiny 2 is actually a masterpiece about corporate greed that has taken over nearly every modern industry. 🤯 It was a game created to fail as a metaphor to the countless other failing, underwhelming products every company is releasing today. And the more people get mad at the state of the game, the more the game proves its overarching theme!

If I may make an observation. The game started out with all the right intentions and people. It had growing pains for sure, however, there was nothing like it at the time and boy was it fun. Little by little the designers and developers, who built the game were weeded out by "numbers" people. And the game stagnated periodically, until adjustments were made for the next DLC (remember, you don't want to over perform). There are so many "branches" in this game's odyssey that it's hard to pinpoint exactly where and how many times the "corporate structure screwed the pooch trying to maintain their paychecks and, incidentally, the games viability until it could be sold. In the meantime, you had the proliferation of cheaters in the pvp side of the game. So, ask yourselves why cheaters weren't removed? Several reasons come to mind. 1. Too expensive and would have a negative effect on the corporate executive's bottom line. (the dedicated visionaries and developers had been gotten rid of). Don't forget the rank and file are expendable up to a certain point. (corporate Stink Think) 2. The game was spiraling in a negative direction and they were trying to conceal the problem until the franchise was sold and they had received their huge payouts. Case in point...the guy who is now suing them for being removed for various reasons. Funny how his "alleged" behavior hadn't caused his removal years ago if it was as bad as the executives are now saying, hmmm? Anyway, this is all just my opinion as a former business owner and a former corporate executive. This doesn't do anything to solve the problem of rampant cheating, but maybe this provides a little insight into the dumb side of the corporate business and evolution. It takes people who care and are listened to, from the janitor to the CEO, to keep a company viable. When you quit listening to the people in the trenches you have what Bungie has become. Will the game make it out of this stupid series of failures? That will be determined at a later date, but it doesn't look promising.
