In addition to its current perks, anytime you give a teammate or you gain woven mail, you spawn 2 threadlings at both your and their location.
Additionally, whenever you sever a target or rapidly land 9 crits, you spawn 2 threadling at the targets location.
Finally, the catalyst now consumes 25 ammo but let's your next shot fire a tangle. Wherever the tangle impacts, it leaves a grapple hold.
I think these changes would greatly improve its function while adding more strand synergy.

It should unravel as well

The weapon is busted as is. . Just go watch Snazzy & then come back to this thread. If you want more from Nav just run it with an Unraveling Rounds Build &/or Cenotaph.

Edited by SCRFY N3RF HRDR: 12/28/2024 5:25:13 AMTerrible, the caty as it stands cost 1 ammo and takes 10 seconds to recharge. Leave it be. You don’t understand the power of a positionable grapple point on cooldown.

I think the issue is that it's a trace rifle. Currently they are super weak on the dps department. But your idea sounds good tho. I just wish they buffed trace rifles overall. 🤔

While I also want the navigator to be more then the "the grapple spam gun", I don't fully agree with giving it threadlings, as Titan & Hnters struggle to build into them as well as warlocks, I've also seen them be inconsistent when players use them, so this wouldn't give me much interest. I do agree with the tangle part though because all can build into it easily, not launching it, but the alt shot would simply spawn one in, allowing the player to use it either as a grapple point or for one of the tangle aspects well all have, now to make the gun itself feel better, just give it collective action, interacting with all these tangles would help keep a healthy 20% bonus damage on at all times.
