What's even the point of trials?
So like, I don't get it.
-Momento only drops from lighthouse
-Getting to lighthouse is ridiculous
-You only get loot for winning, losses do not award loot
-Matchmaking is always broken
-Wearing full set of trials gear does not give more rep like iron banana
-Can not farm momento
Can someone explain to me why you aren't guranteed atleast an engram for playing a match? am I missing something? Why is grinding for loot so tedious and not worth the time investment only in pvp? Why doesn't the momento drop just from playing trials.. because iron banana momento drops from playing, nightfall momento drops from playing too, right? I don't get it. Why doesn't bungie just revamp pvp to be more focused on getting loot rather than being an endless grind for no reason

To play for fun. I’ve played tons of trials this (and other) weekends just for fun. I made a meme build Behemoth titan for this weekend, and it is not great but feels rewarding and fun to play. Too many people look either for boosting KD or gettimg loot instead of just playing for fun.

Imo the memento should be a random drop from any match and the nightfall memento should be a random drop from any nightfall

1 ReplyIt seems people have a hard time accepting not everything is meant for them, in regards to the game. I agree that you should receive some type of reward for investing your time in trials, but at the same time there needs to be something that rewards players for completing a task. You can earn armor and adept weapons without going to the lighthouse now, if they handed you everything then it would be a “slap in the face” for those that actually make it to the lighthouse. Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcome. Bungie has made a lot of changes to trials that gives a lot more players the opportunity to get gear and reach the lighthouse, but that does not mean said players should have the same outcome as people that do more than just hop into trials (i.e. farm for good weapons in other playlists, invest in good stat distribution, good load outs, practice in other playlists to get better, etc. )

But most ppl willing to complain about trials aren't willing to get to 7 wins. Also not everything is about loot, some of us played because we had fun, most loot has been redundant since season of opulence so it's hardly a motivator these days.

Should go back to rounds played then people that want loot can go back to jumping
