If there's 5 possible drops then each time you get a reward with 5 possible drops it's going to be a 20% chance. Doing an encounter multiple times is just rolling the dice more times but the drop rate will be 20% each time. More attempts gives you more chances at getting the 1 in 5 rewards, it doesn't change the drop rate.
