Like it or not a 140 hc meta is the healthiest option. A select few pulses need to be hit first. Any time something long range or easy to use is the meta it dominates. I can duel a 140 with just about any other weapon. I struggle to duel a .67 ttk pulse that operates at nearly every range on bungies maps. ROSE needs to be hit so we at least see a variety of 140s instead of the same -blam!-. Take away its lw bonus or give it to other 140s. I'm saying all this and i don't like hc. I'm a bow Main.
-
No, they don't. Be thou silent, wretch.
-
i smell the elsis chapy knuckle clone smoke prismatic user here lmao
-
I mean other than Rose I think they're oddly balanced right now
-
Hc are fine until they run 3rd party/w kbm
-
I agree. Crimson needs a nerf
-
Pulses do
-
That’s hilarious. 140 Hand cannons are in a mediocre position compared to pulses and 120s are just fine. If you’re getting dumped on it’s because you’re playing poorly.
-
Why do you think they need a nerf?
-
They require more precision than any other primary weapon for optimal ttk (partly due to how recoil/ kick works on hand cannons), almost every other primary can out range a hand cannon, and most if not every other primary besides bows can kill faster. Why would hand cannons need a nerf when really their only balancing factor is high aim assist? Unless their damage is buffed so they all require 1-2 less crits in the 3-5 shots minimum they all take (specifically, allow 120s to kill in 1 crit 2 body, 140s in 2 crits 1 body, 180s in 1 crit 3 body, and 257s in 3 crits 2 body or whatever they've got) or change their recoil to be that of 180s and burst hand cannons, how about no. The balancing buff would have to be comparable to the nerfs. Of course, if you'd prefer a weapon like Hawkmoon have the recoil animation of a 180, by all means. Technically it should have already since it had the matching impact stat for like a year and a half after it released. And before anyone says anything on that part, I specifically said impact stat, not damage. Don't forget, DMT had the impact of a 150 scout for a long time too despite doing like 30% more per shot. And every non-damage buff 180 HCs got, Hawkmoon and Last Word benefitted too such as the magazine size increase, except they just got more reserves.

I think hand cannons are in a fine spot, since If you have the skill to peak shoot with them then they’re s tier. The only real problem is the only players left in pvp are the sweat lords, so they do feel over used and hard to counter due to peak shooting.
-
My tip - use cover!
-
It’s risk-reward. Other weapons have better range, other weapons fire faster. Some players have developed a play style around hand cannons. Dipping in and out of cover, hitting those precision shots… It takes practice and skill. Not everyone can be good with a hand cannon. I’m not good with them. I use the Crimson a lot but it’s a hybrid. Give me an Ace of Spades and watch my KDA go down. If I keep losing to someone with a hand cannon he’s just good with it. 450 pulse rifle meta coming up soon. Play a lot of Dares of Eternity and get a good BXR-55 BATTLER. Stay out of hand cannon range and you’ll be beating them soon.

Nah other type of weapons need a buff -
Not really
-
Aren’t we still in a pulse rifle meta? What are HCs doing that I’m missing?
-
Not sure if they need a nerf but they are a favourite with cheaters using certain things that can't be mentioned on forums👀
-
They're not exclusively stronger than any other weapon type. Some outliers are strong if used correctly, but that's how they should be. If you think something is too powerful, I suggest you try using it first and you'll see some weapons require skill to be strong.
-
You can do everything they do with any other slow firing high damage weapon, that includes pulses and scouts, hell most things out-range them.
-
They have slower ttk than most gun any way. Vs a pulse you need to close your distance and vs sidearm and smg up close you lose 9 times out of 10. And if the reason why it should get nerfed is peak shooting, then why on earth you let them peak shoot you in the first place.

Agree… too much aim assist for that much damage per shot…
