So many bugs, so much is now stale & boring and (IMPO) I don't think a DLC will remedy or revive the enjoyment...
...It's time for Destiny 3!

Way over time, but this one time AAA title is now squarely focused on achieving AA status.

Destiny: A new perspective we see red war from cabal perspective. Our characters are cabal.. Expansion is just were elinski and then hive.. then taken. It has story mode and some battles like star wars battlefront style lol...
-
You got this off of a YouTuber...... Cut it out! Lol almost verbatim! And came here for "likes"! 🤣
-
Forget it. That much development would take 5 - 10 years and much more resources than Bungie has now. While development is in progress they are also trying to hit a moving target as the games industry changes over time. The next generation of consoles is expected to be released in 2028 or 2029. Developers have to begin working with beta hardware very soon, not years into the future.
-
Nope, because we'll just get a lazy reskinned combination of D1 & D2 with no new weapons, armour etc.
-
There's 0 point in asking for a Destiny 3 until Marathon is out the door. Once they realise Marathon doesn't have interest they'll go back to the tried and true Destiny sequel
-
They don’t invest in Destiny, they have other priorities.

I think it’s too late for Destiny 3. The time for that was back when Beyond Light was released. Could have left D2 intact, as it was then. Nothing vaulted, nothing removed. But 🤷♀️.
-
If they are making a D3 it would have to be a different company. Yes, there are bugs and so on but D2 decline isn’t bugs, it’s the lack of creativity and innovation over the years. Since forsaken this game haven’t seen a major overhaul which I believe is the bigger issue.
-
And so the same exact issues from D2 can come to D3? Yeah, no thanks
-
Destiny engine (Tiger engine) is documented to be very slow to create content on, creating a Destiny experience on a better engine could be better. The issue is Bungie directed their focus and resources to Marathon and is risking the company’s future on it. Destiny 3 has no development on it & would take years to make if you started today given current AAA development time. If Bungie survive, I wouldn’t expect a D3 until the next generation of PlayStation at the earliest, with PS5 being stated by Sony to be roughly halfway through its life cycle. Unfortunately, Bungie made a lot of poor business decisions that could result in its closure.
-
If they can't do D2, why do you believe D3 will be better?
-
Fan: “Bungie can’t remake Wrath of the Machine. It’s too hard.” Also Fans: “We want a whole new game.” Bungie, with 1/3 Staff, Marathon Development, Leadership pulled to Sony, No Quality Assurance, Pending Lawsuits, and nonexistent PVP team: “Upgrade your event ticket you dumb piece of sht”
-
All the same issues, with none of our gear carried forward. No, thank you.
-
Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the neglect we’ve been subjected to is just an indication that they are focusing on the next major release of D2 to improve the game.
-
They aren’t capable of making d3 atm they need more money that currently they do not have to make d3 it’s not as simple as just doing it they need the money and manpower which they also don’t have to do so
-
With the current state of the game and the direction it has been going over the past few years, I highly doubt they are capable to make a compelling follow-up to this game. At this point our best bet is hoping that a better company can acquire the rights to it, much like the Halo series but even 343 didn't exactly have the best ideas either.
-
I'm down for a D3 as long as bungie has nothing to do with it. :)
-
Time for what, another buggy, half-assed product where we can expect more of the same? In what world do you think Destiny 3 would fix any of the problems we're seeing now? If anything, those problems would get worse.
-
youre putting the cart before the horse. how can it be time for destiny 3 with unstable servers and a 30 year old game engine?
-
Never happening, but let's just entertain the fantasy for a second and just ask a couple of questions. Destiny 2 was supposed to fix everything wrong with Destiny 1 when the player base for that fell off of a cliff; how did that work out? If incompetent development led to the game you have now, what are the odds that a new game by the same incompetent developers is going to fix it?
-
Lol that’s never gonna happen
-
No matter if they make a Destiny 3 It will always be in Beta And we'll always be the testers just not getting paid Lol
-
Even if they will start today it will take them like 5 years to make so yeah forget about it
-
Not a chance! This company is going down in flames! They are toast! That’s what’s gonna be left here - TOAST!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!
