Respond with a single big change Bungie could make, and I mean huge. Like player housing with a actual housing district none of this instanced stuff. Yes that means not every one would get "housing", however its that scarcity that makes it more desirable.
For me it would be dedicated servers w/*kernel level anti-cheat. It would not just help address lag/latency but it would also make the game more secure.
*Kernel level or kernel based anti-cheat is a type of anti-cheat that operates at the deepest level of the system.
You really think a Grand Gesture will work? Oh boy.........you must be new. The past few years are littered with those. What Bungie needed to do.........they absolutely refuse to. An let's be fair..........consistency isn't their strong suit. They do however..... actively be consistent at causing problems where none needed to be.
-
The grand gesture will be Sony shutting down Bungie after Marathon flops spectacularly. 15 months or so from now.
-
Win you back? You haven't gone anywhere lol
-
They don't care.

Remove SBMM (feels more like EOMM at this point anyway) and the horrible lobby balancing (random teams would turn out better than the ladder system made ones just by probability alone). Make comp actually rank based and remove the hidden mmr that makes the game try to keep you at "your level" by adapting points gained and lost accordingly. Bring back survival in comp and get rid of collision.

I think it's pretty much over. I have lots of friends that are never coming back. Bungie needs to understand that players have tons of options - it's easier than ever to move on from toxic developers.

Guardians don’t need housing, they’re out spreading the Light like Helldivers spread Democracy. Anyway, my suggestion is for them to make Pale Heart a public destination.
-
I don’t want any bards outside my window with rose bouquets and bottles of wine. SSDD. Every time they’ve done that it’s really just been kicking the can down the road. We need an apology with no strings attached. No sweetness to make the bitter go down easily. No free guns. Just a “hey, sorry, yeah— this was bad.” Most of my buddies didn’t even log on to pick up those free god rolls after weight gate. A grand gesture is the opposite of trust building right now I think— as is their usual silence.
-
The company needs to stop making gestures to apologize for stuff it totally knew was shady but they wanted to cash in fast so they did it anyway. But they won’t because they want more money so instead you get gestures but at least now you can have a finisher kick like Chun Li from Street Fighters.

The game and community are well past a gesture.

Edited by F0xtr0tTh1rt33n: 1/5/2025 7:49:35 PM1. Dedicated servers 2. Better anti-cheat 3. Un-vault all the past campaigns and strikes. Don't even have to make them full fledged destinations. Just make the missions instances. 4. Stop revamping strikes. 5. Get rid of stupid modifiers in Vanguard ops. 6. Lower the bar of entry to activities that are going to be constantly replayed. (Like, why isn't the 50 onslaught salvation normal mode a similar power level to the 10 wave like it was for regular onslaught? Why is the normal mode the same power level to entry as a darn GRANDMASTER Excision? Why is power level even a consideration for basic vanguard ops?) 7. Make challenges reasonable, or at least make it so it can be done in non-playlist variants of an activity, or make it so team kills count. I don't want to kill hundreds of scorn with void damage in vanguard ops when there is literally maybe three scorn heavy strikes, with maybe one or two more featuring scorn as a side enemy. 8. Make the loot worth the time and effort put into an activity. 9. Keep crafting, and make rng more reasonable. There is no good reason why someone can't get what they want within 25 -50 focuses of a weapon, or by completing a raid or dungeon in and getting the exotic in a similar amount of time. In addition, every non-craftable weapon should be enhanceable. 10. If we focus for a stat on armour, for the love of all things, can it actually have decently high stats in what I focus in? Or at least can we have a guide saying what armour is weighted for what stats so I can avoid focusing stats outside that particular armour's stat weighting. Please. I just want one build where I can get some 100 stats without having to majorly sacrifice other stuff. 11. FIX. THE. BUGS. Seriously, there are bugs going on with some stuff that have been a thing since BEYOND LIGHT. There are areas of the game that are pretty much unplayable because you will just get kicked to orbit. Take the game down for a few hours, a day, a week if that's what's needed to get things fixed, I mean actually fixed. 12. Stop using the players as testers. If they haven't volunteered to be your testers, then stop using them as such. 13. Get an actual, cohesive in game guide for new players. They shouldn't have to look up a guide online or ask another player how to do something as simple as upgrade gear. And before anyone asks, this has ALWAYS been a problem in Destiny. D1 did it slightly better, but for D2 I had to go out my way to learn how to infuse my gear and not just keep replacing it. (I went through the entire Red War campaign with a 10 power chest piece because I liked it and it had good perks but I had no idea how to upgrade it).

A total change of monetisation of loot and pinnacle loot. The best armour and skins should be earned in content, not bought.
-
Player housing??!! That’s the dumbest thing I’ve seen on these forums. Bungie is struggling to fix bugs, as well as attempting to make new content. Player housing (lol) is not the answer.

Bring back the og story and ideas that were supposed to be destiny before it was all changed. -
player housing? seriously? if I wanted to play a SIM game and maintain a digital house in said game, I would not be playing D2!!!! Housing would not, and mean NOT bring players back. Bungie would have to make SO many changes to revitalize this game, no one single thing would fix it. It is a pipe dream to think otherwise.

The only way bungie wins me back is reintroducing crafting, don't bloat the perk pools on random drops & make them unique, multiple drops for Raid & dungeon gear on each encounter 1 armor & 1 weapon (or just change it to where outside of Master you don't get armor anymore after the game registers each piece on the class in collections)/ Focusing at the end of the chest. Make exotics a quest/ knockout system for raids & dungeons so your not just farming CPs for possibly weeks/months because rng and return at least campaigns & vaulted strikes & pvp maps then. I'd CONSIDER bungie actually making a smart decision.

An exclusive emblem for players not crying. And a forced title of Crybaby for the serial whiners.

They almost had me with a free dawning pass. But that didn't last long.

Im on the same level with dedicated servers. Never going to happen now though That ship has sailed and sunk to the bottom

Housing in games range from cash grab to marvelously well done. Which do you think Bungie would lean towards

Edited by THA_3rd_GUY: 1/5/2025 7:45:43 PMDon't worry. Bungie will just dangle some nostalgic piece of content in our faces; just so the Streamers and YouTubers can hype it up with "they cooked" or "we're so back". Only for them to come back a week later saying "the game is dying" and "something needs to change". I've been around for a bit. I'm familiar with this song and dance. And it's getting really old.
-
Some things I’d like. Crafting, less drama more action, start rolling back nerfs, remove power caps, meaningful content not this busy work seasonal crap. I’m sure I can think of more.

For me it’s just this shift back to more hard RNG. If that’s still the plan, Heresy is the end for me. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason we can’t have literally ANY weapon in the game be both craftable and it’s random drops enhanceable with both being incentivized and I’m tired of people acting like we can’t. Basically if they aren’t going to stop making this non-issue an issue by avoiding the simplest, most logical/practical solution, I’m done. -
Remove the unnecessary tabs like Gaurdian rank and special Quests tab (the first tab in quest tabs). Add more vault spacing. Add back crafting. Remove more random rolled weapons and add them to craftable. Or give weapons a 12 slot perks. Fix stories to include the Red War for newer players. Readjust strikes/nf to tailor better to players’ level. Make Eververse a bit cheaper (CoD has a bundle - character skin, emote, gun skin, ect, all for around 20$ or less whereas bindle has 1 single thing for 20$). Bugs need fixing. Matchmaking need to be reworked. Get rid of the stupid comp rank depreciate/detoriate for not playing every week (CoD dont have this for Ranked), and fix matchmaking team unbalance, ect. The list can go on.
