how do i get rid of "friend is now online" info box

I cant see what I'm doing because the obstructive info box is up there half the time and it hangs forever before finally disappearing. I just want it gone permanently. Edit Solved

They added a button that turns off just the friend online notifications on Xbox a few months ago. It was glorious.
