At this point, Destiny 2 needs to die after Episode Heresy, and postpone Frontiers until you can make it Destiny 3. The veteran players have nothing of value to play for, and the new player onboarding is -blam!-. Let the game die. Players need a hard reset, and so does the gear and ability system. Players are so obscenely powerful now that master raids are the only challenging thing left, but the player are has dropped too low to be able to even find people interested. Therefore, please just put it down, take it out back, and put it down.

Thing is Destiny 3 will have the same problem as D2 somewhere down the line. The issue has always been managment.
-
You do now the difficulty increase from just before lightfall and after was bungies downfall ,they have done nothing but lose players since ,so I doubt a reset would fix anything . Sadly this is what happens when you have a community that wanted to lock average players out of the only thing d2 has that's unique and that's the raids and dungeons ,clears are so low it's laughable considering they are the main selling point for d2s gameplay More players have completed eldenring than complete one raid in d2 lol it's about time the gatekeeping stopped and maybe the sweats moved on ,that's the only way d2 has a chance at a comeback .

Nope it all about the whales now. As long as 10,000 whales keep spending money it ok. This is basically Destiny the Fortnight years these days. Don't forget to check Eververse on Tuesday guardian!

lol destiny 3 as if ! That won’t happen for a long time . D2 will keep rolling a slow death .

Edited by Meevime: 1/6/2025 1:12:48 PMBefore it dies, let Bungie implement AI teammates for Raids and Dungeons. This is the only way hundreds of thousands solo players can play them. The possibility to play R&D in a team of pre-selectable AI roles will rekindle the interest in the game, it would be a D2 Renaissance! :D
-
Just leave, problem solved.
-
Please don’t. There’s still plenty of fun to have in the game if you stop treating it like a job.
-
Better yet, postpone 'Frontiers' until such time that it can be made into an entirely new, different game altogether and let Destiny end once and for all.
-
IT would not surprise me if they come out soon that frontiers is the last content they will produce. And after that Bungie will go absint

Was watching shadow destiny vid on destiny from 4 months ago in the very first part of the vid it showed all these cool things that got scrapped from the game. The potential to fly in the solar system with your ship like no man's sky but destiny was so cool. It needs to be where D3 goes above and beyond, the amount of different enemy types that were supposed to be in game, locations ect. It was too ambitious back then, it's been a culmination of gathering data and getting to where Bungie has brought it now. They need to really focus up on a completely fresh experience. It won't happen until after marathon releases and at this point if it even does. Bungie is dealing with a lot of bs aside from just working on the games they have with lawsuits ect. I honestly feel bad because growing up and playing bungies games since halo 1 has been amazing and to see the company as it stands now reminds me of how halo died. Halo reach was the last great halo. -
Edited by Hyperstorm76: 1/6/2025 4:23:00 AMI'll go one step further and say that D3 should launch on PS6, not PS5. It'll give devs the time to work on it and remove the excuses of "old" tech holding the game back.
