This week has been a good week.
Picked up the light vs darkness collection and managed to convince my Wife to try D2.
I hope she continues to play!

My wife is my greatest wingwoman in D2

I'm a 50 something year old mom and I only learned to play so that there was another avenue of conversation with my kid. He taught me to play and now he and his Dad and I are a regular strike team. I'm not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination and this is not only my first FPS but is only one of 3 console games I've ever played.

Edited by nonchalantone: 1/6/2025 4:17:49 PMMy wife won't even hand me batteries when my controller dies! Won't grab the controller when I have to take a quick water or bathroom break! "Just run around for me babe, doesn't matter if you die" (that's me) "Welp, you're just gonna stand there then and get shot" (her reply) I'm about to trade her in for a puppy! And put her @$$ out like the dude on the Fresh Pet commercials! 😂

After I got married I continued my gaming hobby which was on a PC at the time and rapidly realised that my wife sitting downstairs and me upstairs on a PC was not healthy. Got her playing minesweeper and hearts on a Win95 PC which led to her playing The Sims........ Scroll forward 32 years. Now she either sits happily on the sofa catching up her social or IMVU on her laptop or takes her turn on the PS5 playing stuff like AC or Horizon Zero Dawn or carrying on her new game+ in Ghost of Tushima. I think she is eying up Red Dead Redemption 2 for her next fix. I may need another PS5 lol.

I genuinely hope you both have a great time gaming together!

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 1/6/2025 5:33:08 AMMy wife and I have been gaming together since D1 Beta, I would have to go do something and comeback to her playing my character, and she had no interest in games before, but D1 hooked her, now we play alot of co-op games together , and she even likes some single player games, and she even got me into raiding Nothing like playing Crimson days with your actual romantic partner(till the geniuses at Bungie thought baking cookies was worth it , but Crimson Days isn't)

My husband and I have been gaming for about 13 years together. He broke his foot and needed surgery, so we were bored in the house. He taught me how to play Call of Duty, then I played the first Borderlands while he was at work after thinking it looked lame when he was playing it. Got hooked on that game, (and series) and we decided I needed my own game system/tv, then D1 came out, and well, we're still here 🤷🏻♀️ I've played solo games too, but I love sharing a hobby with him that we both get excited about.

Edited by Zoidberg: 1/6/2025 4:34:39 PMGot my partner to play for a few years. But they got hit with every game breaking bug that has ever happened. Was crazy to see this sitting next to them. Having experienced none of them personally. Eventually, they had to leave the game because it was too frustrating for them. I hope your experience is better. Best of luck.

Good Hunting, Mr & Mrs Tux 😁

Nice, my wife hates FPS so D2 is a no go for her.
