This week's nightfall (believe the corrupted) is the worst imo. It's cheap and petty to get pushed off the map without warning. Sometimes there is a sound shortly before getting shot up in the air but with enough time to react. What infuriates me is getting pushed off the map with no warning. It's one thing to make a nightfall challenging but dieing when I can't react is something different. However, one time made me laugh. I was immediately pushed off right as I got to the final scene but it was so hard I actually landed in the same area we get spawned in. At least I didn't die.

Guess you didn’t do it when it originally came out when the push would send you so far off it was unrecoverable if you were out of cover. The push back was cut down to a 1/4 of what it once was.

In the boss room, you should remain on the last island before you jump across to the main platform and kill as much as you can there before moving forward, eventually after you hear she’s escaping you’ll get a turn back message so you’ll have to move forward or die. Her blast attack is telegraphed and easy to avoid so just pay attention to the sound cues and visual attack marker on the ground. A safe bet for this GM is Void Hunter with Orpheus Rigs and Graviton Lance. Make use of devour and invis to stay alive and tether for consistent add grouping and clearing. Graviton Lance is a beast and is good for unstoppable champs this season and is also good for the many void shields found throughout the GM (curative orb artifact perk) not to mention the list of void perks released with act 3. Also, Void Hunter can shadow dive to save yourself if you are caught in the boss’s blast attack.

All of the battlegrounds and new strike suck.

Hear the build up… Make sure you are not in her circle. If so, run and slide and stay crouched. Do not jump. If not in the circle, crouch. If crouched, you move about an inch at most. Works like an anchor.

Are you talking about the boss fight? You certainly can react if you pay attention. The boss spawns a circle on the ground, if you stand in it it shoots you in the air then she pushes you. Simply be aware of your surroundings and listen to the audio queue that warns about the incoming attack.

Not even close. Try Liminality with the weakening crap. Or Lightblade OG style where thrall melees one shot you.
-
Liminality is by far the worst GM. Corrupted and Light Blade GMs are a joke at this point to D2 veterans and sherpas.
-
It sucks because they intentionally spawn 2 unstoppable champs when the ogres are at low health trying to kill your run And most blueberries just obliviously melt the ogres despawning the champs

They already made the GM significantly easier than it originally was on top of the general changes made to GMs. It does not need further baby proofing.

You get indicators that you're about to be pushed. Don't stand in the launch zone, and don't jump. Spice things up by throwing transcendent hunter grenades on the shriekers for disco effects woot woot

The Corrupted is my all time most DISLIKED Nightfall. . Prismatic has made it tolerable, but it's just a poorly designed Strike. . Unfun mechanics. Grossly laid out zones. Abundant movement displacement. Awkward Ad Density. Flighty disgusting final boss. .
-
You need to keep moving on that final part to not get shot into the air, and when she screams, turn in toward her. It is frustrating when you don’t know, but I personally think corrupted is on of the best strikes.
-
I can't stand it myself. Visually it's amazing but playing through it sucks. I've been told by several people that it used to be much worse, if you can believe that; not sure I do.

The only thing worse than that is when you get teammates who just stand there and emote while you just solo fight the boss and then just jump off and die for 5 to 10 minutes wasting your time all together. Gotta love Guardians like this 🍻 -
This literally one of the easier NFs in the game. It’s just long

I've never cared for The Corrupted as a strike, nor as a nightfall. Although I've managed to get through the entire strike without dying many times (even on grandmaster mode) I'll still always hate the way the strike operates. In my latest video the person I was doing the grandmaster with... we got to talking about other grandmasters. They mentioned The Corrupted is a whole lot easier now. Maybe they're only saying that though if the Prismatic subclass lightens the load somewhat for players who are using it. I don't own the current expansion, so relying on past resources I can only imagine going through the grandmaster is just the same as ever.
