The best suggestion I can give is carve out your own Niche. Destiny is in a place where Skill trumps Meta, no matter how powerful the Meta may be (of course, meta was going to make the game easier or harder respectively) So, create your own build and modify it to better work within PvP. I recommend you search up build crafting videos and look at unique interactions if you want to get something super Niche (Strandlocks are the only strand subclass capable of getting an OHKO without the usage of an exotic.)

Just try to win and support the team.. yes even and especially on a join in progress... 2. You have a vault of probably over 600 weapons.. use them. Do not bring in only top META gear.. you can do well with more than you think you just do not know because you do not try.. and its way more enjoyable when you find that diamond in the rough >> again cause no one cares about your KD.. its just did you have fun? No sweat. 3. Occasionally go into other content to acquire more weapons to test in this mode. 4. You will notice good streaks/bad streaks.. sometimes can't find a good match.. thats how it is sometimes.. just use this time to go into other content or do something else.
