I used to bounce at a gentleman's club and my first night there, a new girl started. She was beautiful and right around 22 years old. She had a great imagination and she brought life to the club. She had a wide array of moves and themes she would try to improve her performances. She was a hit. She had the perfect formula. Her name was destiny. As the years went by, new girls came in with a new gimmick or two but never stuck around. They couldn't handle the pressures of having to perform constantly.
Fast forward to 5 years. I got a call back from one of my old security buddies and he said he needed someone to bounce on Thirsty Thursdays. I needed a little extra tax free cash so I accepted. When I get there guess who greets me at the front door? Yep it was her. Apparently she had kept reinventing herself and revising her act.
That night she must have changed outfits 5 to 10 times at the whims of paying customers and making bank off of just her look. After the club closed for the night we all sat around reminiscing on old days. Destiny was now older but was making tons of money consistently while the new girls did well initially but burnt out rapidly. I worked Thursdays for the summer and left again to pursue a new job.
Ten years have gone by since I first met Destiny. One of my college buddies was getting married and we threw him a bachelor party and guess who it was for entertainment? Yep her again. She told me she was free and independent and ready to cash in and make tons of money on her own. I wished her well and we parted again.
Two years later at my new computing job I run into her again but she isn't dancing. Apparently she is the new project manager lead in a tech company and is knocking it out. She told me she quit because sometimes you gotta make huge changes. With her new job she makes more money for herself and others. She told me Stephanie is worth a lot more than Destiny ever will be. She was happy she had the experience of Destiny but that she had to move forward. A totally different direction helped her succeed in ways she never thought possible.
If you've made it this far I hope you have a sense of humor and can easily read between the lines. Destiny needs to change. Not little bit here or there it needs to change drastically. Fresh new start and fresh everything. I love my memories. I love that i have a chill clip glaive to go with my energy slot weapon of choice now but in order for the game I give my time to grow it has to evolve drastically. I'm talking caterpillar to a trex.
My stuff - has to go.
My familiar surroundings - have to go.
Crucible - has to go.
First off we need a great animation studio with the start of the next saga.
Second the game will have to be with the next gen of technology.
Third the players have to be pulled kicking and screaming into it.
Fourth Sony has to commit to the risk of a huge investment. The game to be the next it game for the future has to be bold and magnificent. Make lore and you stick to it. Commit.
Fifth we need solo playable games to have you connect to characters. Imagine playing as another race in a game and trying to find your way. Guardians are side characters to you. Imagine being Mithrax and gaining experience with your fallen brethren? Imagine being Caitl wielding a giant hammer and leading your forces back to Torobotl? Or a soldier in her army shieldbashing a hive knight through a building? Have a story that is built into the lore of a larger game?
Thoughts about my late night toilet bs?

Bro really said crucible has to go 💀 It better not because that’s the most replayable and best part of the game
