I told you before, Destiny needs to be single player oriented, with team play as an extra, not an obligation. With how people interact together, I foresee more and more toxicity as the older player base stops playing(due to health and failing reflexes), the next generation of gamers is not as friendly, I find, and getting along won’t be easy.
In LFG, people play together in a common goal, yes, but they don’t necessarily have fun. And that’s the thing, it’s not fun playing with strangers, it’s only fun when you become real friends. I would prefer relying only on my own skill and not having to either carry or endure someone. Often players are good, most often actually, but again, playing with randoms, not FUN. It’s ok, but if I was alone it would be more fun. That’s just me.
As an example, say I do onslaught with some randoms, and we get 50 waves on hardest difficulty. If you have a good team, you complete your task, if you don’t have a good team, you try to carry, but there’s a good chance you won’t. Either way, not super fun. If I was alone, I would enjoy myself more 4 times out of 5.
People have different opinions, and don’t always get along when they talk. Why force things? Focus on making great single player content. I’d say 3/4 single to multiplayer content, right? That’s what I think, and though my wife disagrees, I’m always right. Seriously though, I’m right. Divine intuition I call it. Good luck.

Gonna have to respectfully disagree depending on the area of the game we're talking about. For seasonal stuff, I couldn't care less. Solo, fireteam, even large teams of 12 like excision are all acceptable to me. If strangers bother you, just join/create a post with no mic. But if they make it mostly solo stuff, that's fine too. The problem arises if we start talking about more endgame-level content. Raids and dungeons should absolutely not be solo focused. Part of being the pinnacle pve activity is having teamwork as a requirement. I don't see them ever moving away from that mindset, and rightfully so.
-
I will never understand why people who claim to be "solo" in the game... Choose to socialize on the Forums outside the game. If you're willing to socialize on the Forums, why wouldn't you be willing to socialize in the game?

Pleas Bungie do not listen to this man. Destiny should expand its multiplayer components even more.
-
Bro; just go play a good single player RPG, there are tons of them. Why Destiny if you don't want to group up?
-
Please Bungie if you care for the game don't even attempt to listen to this.
-
I loaded into a vault of glass raid lfg without a mic and I made friends with strangers that I now consistently play with and we make jokes and stuff and they are the best online friends I’ve ever made. Just have to open up a little bit. Every now and then there’s some -blam!- but most of the people I have encountered are very nice.

Destiny is not a solo game when will you people learn

So Bungie should remake their entire game to accommodate toxic, anti-social brats? Sure, that sounds reasonable.
-
Literally their main selling point is that it's a multiplayer game. First cutscene of the game is 3 man team.

Edited by iOawe: 1/16/2025 11:39:50 AMHonestly I really hope bungie listens to you and other solo players. I feel like this would 1. Show players that bungie actually listens to their playerbase. 2. Bungie is making an effort at trying to be inclusive to all. It would bring their numbers back up tremendously. Please please please bungie if you do nothing else to this game, listen to this man!!!!

You’re over valuing your input lol. Square peg looking for a round hole.

You're wrong. Destiny has the saying "guardians are stronger together" for a reason. I get you don't like people. I don't like people either. You're a great example of that! Destiny was made with multiplayer in mind, that's why it's an online only game. Stop crying and get with it or get out.

Of all the feedback I've seen here, i hope this one gets ignored the most. Jfc, i can't even comprehend the audacity in your tone. It's only topped by the idea that it has to cater to some old single players that don't know group play.

Everyone is a stranger until you say hello. Hello! 😊

Edited by SenXXII: 1/15/2025 2:00:45 AMFrom what I read, it seems that you just don't like playing MMOs. Which is fine. Bungie opened Pandora's box by allowing players to even be able to get the Pinnacle cap without doing endgame activities. It should have always been a requirement. Same thing with the best weapons and armor. In this type of game, there needs to be a ladder. And this game currently just doesn't have one. Players who don't want to raid need to be okay with not getting the best loot and gear. Players need to be okay with not getting everything if they don't touch endgame. The difference between endgame loot and seasonal loot is non existent. There is no incentive for players to do endgame activities. Endgame activities should ALWAYS have the best stuff to match the effort. Effort needs to match the reward and that is true with endgame as well. That's why hardcore players are ALSO leaving. Also if you're dealing with randoms who are bad, then you can make your own clan or join one. That's what you're SUPPOSED to do. That's your solution.

No fun = no play.
-
Failing reflexes blahahaha (nice one)
-
You make great points here, it's sad that some of these things are the case for most players who play. Playing a game should be fun this is the most important thing. If it isn't then Bungie has not done it's part. For challenging content it's meant to be an experience of overcoming the challenge so it's a different type of fun for some.

You need to get out more.
I told you before, Destiny needs to be single player oriented, with team play as an extra, not an obligation.
& that's why they made Destiny & all you've done is talk.
