The game needs some tone-down.
And if someone like Chablo 91 can see it, how the hell can't you see?
The game is becoming a chore. Challenging content should be a slice of the content, not everything.

Anyone defending Bungie at this point is dense af. Bungie still has 700+ employees, all paid well and all thinking Marathon will save their jobs.
-
Complaints about raising the Pinnacle cap each season would never have been a problem if we could over-level again for most activities. Even the Artifact bonus doesn't really make sense anymore outside of getting to the cap for GMs. Sure, it's not difficult to reach the Pinnacle cap after the first few weeks if you know what to focus and already start at the Hard cap, but for newer or returning players it can be a struggle even from Soft cap. I believe Bungie is vastly over-estimating the skill level of the average player when they are designing their standard content, and what those players are willing to put up with before they drop the game for good. We absolutely need difficult end-game content but not at the expense of the normal game.

I love that guy he’s funny
-
Unfortunately that offends lord Crappo that needs everything to be ball achingly difficult and obnoxious. If the game is 'too easy' he might not even get top 100 for a raid like he did RoN, and Bungie can't have that of course. I like how the take away from RoN wasn't "wow cool look at how many people played the raid and how many completed it!" it was "wow the game is too easy we must make the next raids harder and make SE the most -blam!- raid to ever exist."
-
A little long winded and meandering but his points are solid. Reverting the power cap on most activities is a good idea (even if dungeons and raids have their power set to match the pinnacle cap, +5 or +10 is still better than -1). I’d maybe include the Pale Heart in retaining its -5 (as it’s designed to be an endgame destination), master exotic missions, and master raids/dungeons in the “can’t overlevel” camp but that’s it.
-
But mr elitist worlds first raider streamer guy who doesnt even play nor promote the game anymore needs cHaLlEnGe when they fire up the game every 2 months. Thats the main metric no? The only metric that matters, no? Bungie thinks it is and thats all that counts..
-
Many of us have said this for awhile now, keep nerfing the fun/power fantasy and making players play the way you want, keep giving in to the hardcore/elite players who make up 1% of your player base, etc. and then act completely surprised when your player population dies off.
-
He's100% right, we need to be able to over-level most content except day1 races and GMs. The entry level to all other activities should allow this, we already have other levels such as legendary, master, grandmaster that cater to those who want more difficulty, the entry level should always allow you to over-level.
-
Bruh, what the hell is wrong with you people? How more casual do you want this game to be before you start making it boring for EVERYONE
-
10000% Correct Many players have said that hear, many casuals and normal players have said this BUT the Elites, Streamers and YouTuber elitists keep screaming "game too easy, make it harder" and MORE players quit This new Hersey season livestream they highlighted how hard the new seasonal content is, how theres no healing, how tough it will be, ....... Well I'm out.

I just got a 5 minute unskippable ad.

Datto wouldn’t like that

Posted his video elsewhere in here. He’s a great content creator that always seems to talk sense. Maybe because he’s a small channel and the success hasn’t got to his head, or just because he’s an honest guy. I think the latter. However if Bungie don’t listen to him and those of us that agree with him, the game is going to keep haemorrhaging players. Hey Bungie listen up!!!! Marathon isn’t going to save your studio and neither is Frontiers If you keep doubling down on your asinine decisions, Bungie. FFS wake up and smell the coffee.

dungeons boss when solo should be capped at 10m yeah

I haven't played for weeks, if not months. The game is not FUN. Fun is what it's all about for many of us, I think. We just want to run around and kill stuff. We don't want to compete, as such. One of the reasons I stopped playing was - another freakin Element! We had three, then another, and now another. Who the hell wants to juggle builds based on five elements? Change the three. Add more to the three. Another is the complication. It's just so damned complicated! Does it really make sense that Bungie has designed a game that requires YouTube to figure out and play it? I don't know why Bungie made the game harder. The amazing thing is they must know why players have left, yet continue down the same stupid path. Adding mechanics, hoards of enemies, enemies impossible to kill unless you have some over powered build, which you can't get, because you haven't got the build to play the game to get the build to play the game, and around and around it goes. There are several levels of difficulty, but there is no difficulty that screams "EASY" I liked the game, but not now. I'm sick of it!

@Chablo91 speaks a lot of sense!
-
the game is and has been aimed at sweats for a very long time
-
Shocking this post is starting to sink into obscurity. It’s like they don’t want the feedback🤔🙄.
-
Chablo is actually slept on. the guy has some great builds too. i agree with his take. we should be able to over level

Edited by HeavyPsych_RocknRoll_NG4: 1/28/2025 10:28:27 PMTop you tuber. Speaks a lot of sense and has some wonderful content. A very unique style of commentary. Says it how it is and is good enough at Solo endgame content to justify his thoughts. Definitely not a nobody.

Sheep much?
-
You mean to tell me people "Don't" love 2065 power level content where unless your spamming freeze grenades and being the campiest Meta abusing player in existence you die immediately?
-
It was a valid point, and I'm not even a fan of Chablo's stuff (I was honestly expecting another 'f*ck the casuals and leave us to our circle-jerk' type comment that content creators usually make, and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't). Players need to have options - ALL players, not just the ones that make a living playing your game. Because when it's just them left, and then they start voicing their complaints, you've really nowhere left to go from there.
-
Why is it that y'all scream that Bungie caters to content creators and claim they ruin the game , but then y'all will use them to validate your point.💀 Gotta love the hypocrisy of the destiny 2 forums.
And if someone like Chablo 91 can see it, how the hell can't you see?
I didn't even know who this guy was before you brought him up, so I'm probably gonna continue on not caring what he has to say about anything.

Game needs to be harder not easier. They tried making a game where every one can succeed & it failed. With player population lower then that of Curse of Osiris.
