I just finished watching the live stream, and I already hate next season. It does not look interesting whatsoever. If anything, it looks way worse than this season, especially how they described the activities. I don't like the way it sounds, nor do I like what was shown in the live stream.
The weapons on the other hand... like, I am looking forward to getting the two pulse rifles from Crucible, and the Hakke sniper from Trials. Granted, I hate that they're PvP weapons at all, but I'm still going to make myself suffer more just to get them. The reprised Cold Denial is kind of okay, I guess. That exotic trace rifle seems kind of cool. The craftable Vault of Glass weapons I guess are also kind of cool, assuming if red boarders drops are easier to get than how stupid the Garden of Salvation red boarder drops were. The seasonal weapons... yuck. Pure vomit. And it doesn't help that the machine gun in the live stream is just the Hammerhead from the Black Armory, which to me, still does show how much Bungie just doesn't even care about the Black Armory anymore, leaving nothing but an insult towards me. And don't get me started on the wheel gun because, let's face it, that "exotic weapon" is literally just a wheel. A wheel. How would anyone take it seriously? And whatever other weapons they have during the season, especially in the new dungeon, I'll criticize when the season comes out.
The point is I just knew that next season is going to bring even more disappointment, and I just hate it already. It sucks too, because I still want to craft Nullify from Salvation's Edge, yet it's pretty clear I'm never going to even obtain it because everyone is going to care more about doing Vault of Glass, period. Whether it's to craft the weapons, get Vex Mythoclast, or just for their own enjoyment, I'm probably never going to even get Nullify whatsoever. Stupid. But whatever. I got my rant out of the way because I'm definitely not going to even do any of the seasonal activities, or care to even get what other seasonal content there'll be in acts two and three.

Uninstall the game & Bye!

Edited by Magiscene: 1/29/2025 1:20:05 AMWhat I don’t understand is why they are so obsessed with making the gamine a rouge lite. The only thing I’m farming next season is vog and the dungeon that’s it. No crafting no buying.
-
What a stunning turn, you hate something about Destiny. I'll alert the media.

Edited by Usuallyafk: 1/30/2025 2:57:23 PMAnyone defending Bungie at this point are dense. They still have 700+ employees, all paid well. They truly believe Marathon will save their jobs I think.
-
Just think they actually wrote code for it to be this bad. Let that sink in.

Yeah if I'm being honest this new activity sounds stupid. I don't want to "find healing items" or "shoot pots" to regain my health. This game has been pushing build crafting this, build crafting that, so we've been build crafting out little hearts out. Then they introduce an activity that essentially makes any build crafting with healing completely irrelevant by putting in some stupid healing mechanic in their new activity. I can't keep up with this game anymore bro lol
-
Edited by Obelix: 1/29/2025 10:08:59 PMA bit early to make definitive judgement, but after watching a recap from the stream I don’t see anything that excites me. The exotic trace looks cool, the donut smg not so much.

So glad ive started playing actual fun games now without tone deaf developers.
-
I hope it’s good. I’m not a fan of these seasons. They’ve never been good since they went to the seasonal model. But I feel like the last one before an expansion is usually the best one. With that said, I’m expecting the same exact cookie cutter stale season we’ve got since S16.

I returned after a few months while moving; finished act III missions but still have nearly all of act III tonic missions to unlock and complete (and probably won't). The only things left I'm not excited for. I never completed dual destiny, salvation's edge, or the new dungeon vesper's host. I'll raise my light, study all the dang game mechanics, memorize symbols, then hope to get it done via LFG. Not looking forward to any of it, it feels like a chore now, but it's all that's left of Destiny 2.

I’m not a fan of the barrier sniper tbf

I hate something I haven’t played too
-
Lmao - hates when bungie reskins beloved old weapons Also - Hates when bungie makes a new, completely unique exotic weapon design. Pick a lane?
-
I havent played in years and next season looked interesting. If SONY would give me final shape for free I'd probably play and maybe buy the season. I like the roguelike aspects and how team building is actually important. Plus with no crafting I'm tickled pink

This is great satire. If it is not satire, why do you even play this game lmao. -
Edited by Vapor: 1/29/2025 7:51:57 PMI genuinely feel bad for you. You need to let this game go brotha.
-
What a bright ray of sunshine you are. If you hate everything so much why bother playing at all? Go play something that you enjoy.

You guy got to stop trusting what bungie says in the live streams. -

Of course you do. You don’t like anything about this game.
-
So you dont enjoy being oneshot the entire CASUAL SEASONAL activity? While enemies can basically already onehit you with all the ability spam as is? Wow sounds so fun. They keep pushing this stupid build crafting min max agenda that cringe streamers wanted to fill their 12 hours streams every day with content. Now us 9-5 dudes cant enjoy this wannabe dark souls trash anymore. (And no, i dont dislike souls games, i love em. Those are quality made single player experiences with fun difficulty tho, not some ancient casual looter shooter with a broken netcode and overpowered trash everywhere while you yourself shoot peashooters and throw broken abilities around. Big difference)
-
Well, all seasonal activities typically get old pretty fast -that's just inevitable - but I like the setting of this season and how they said you can opt in and out of the seasonal activity if you just want to complete one "bubble". I hated the 1 hour activities last season. I just hope that the challenges will be better and actually give those of us who arent playing -blam!- EVERYTHING in the game a chance to still complete them. Oh and that they've made challenges that reasonably CAN be completed - and not challenges that rely on completitions of things that either arent available all the time (rift) or the luck of having something show up (looking at you scorn kills with void).
-
wuuut you dont like the "new" season with all the great NEW content xD ? 3rd Vog (for red borders) No Season crafting new strike on the old D1 Oryx Quest idk why you dont like it
-
Yep agreed. Buff fusion rifles..well said.

I was watching the stream and not a fan of the new 3 person activity. They could've done so much better with it than just having the fireteam go from one capture point to another and the modifiers of your health not regening, is just lame, kinda like oscillating in the nightfall. Even thou they touched on tonics, I'm foreseeing that players are going to have to grind the activity for enough seasonal currency to even be able to use the weapon selector for the roll you want. Not a whole lot of thought was put into what the community wants.
