What also sucks is why cannot I craft a void pulse yet ?

One of the worst decisions they have made in recent history. It's the reason I didn't really do anything other than the seasonal story last episode, and from the looks of it, it's all I'll be tuning in for this. I'm just not gonna spend any more time grinding these boring repetitive seasonal activities for -blam!- stingy drop rates and terrible RNG. At least with red frames I knew I could eventually just craft the roll I wanted after 30-40 drops of pure trash. With the frames gone, so is my desire to do the seasonal content. Hey but at least the streamers who play for 12 hours a day are happy, right?

Making content is hard, and you especially don’t want to over deliver.

Bungie: We are listening to your feedback. Playerbase: we want crafting back for seasonal weapons. Bungie: ok seasonal weapons won’t be craftable but we are reprising vog weapons to be craftable. I’m so sick of this the 1 step forward 2 steps back and player feedback falling on deaf ears.

Edited by Boss_KADA: 1/30/2025 1:37:31 PMOne more grind and it’s VoG, a classic. I looked forward to it Funny how it got spammed during the livestream 😝 Meanwhile I’m attempting the 50 games of Onslaught and got 2 decent rolls so far

Yep Bungie have double down and done it again. I haven't been on I act 3 and don't know whether I'm coming back for Heresy. I'll probably check it out at least. I've truly lost faith in Bungie as a developer. They aren't doing much to retain the player base and are alienating there players to cater to to the very few elitist.

Yeah I would like to be able to craft the Heresy weapons, What I also don't understand is why are they trying new ways for us to get the specific weapon that we want with things like the tonics from Revenant and the new way they said for Heresy when they could just do the attunement thing like with onslaught.

Edited by Final Requiem: 1/30/2025 12:04:39 PMBecause logic and reason are concepts beyond the understanding of the things in their offices. Among this seasons weapons, only Exuviae interested me because of how well it would work with Ice breaker and Mask of Fealty. I already got what I wanted except for the barrel or the mag (icr which). Why would I want to grind dozens more for 5 red borders to get a SLIGHT improvement to what I already have? Especially when I can't focus the seasonal weapons and have to grind an activity I don't want to do so I can get a handful of materials needed so I can IMPROVE my chances of getting the item for a limited time, which still counts down even when I'm not doing anything. If they're going to make us wait until the following season to craft new weapons, they need to add focusing after the fact and they need to make the first 5 drops of each weapon guaranteed red borders because in my case at least, I have NO REASON to grind Kell's Fall, Contest of Elders, or Onslaught Salvation.
-
Yup, craftable weapons were the ENTIRE reason I played seasonal content. Bungie got WAY more "engagement" out of me when there were rewards worth grinding for (i.e. craftable weapons), compared to this season where I've barely played the seasonal content at all, because there's absolutely ZERO guarantee that I'll get anything even remotely worth my while, no matter how many hours I spend beating my head against Bungie's rng wall.

Meanwhile Bungie is making us grind out VOG weapons for the fourth time this franchise. People are gonna start hating Vault if they haven't already.

Chill, it’s just a game. U be Cringe, eh - 1/30/2025 1:20:13 AM
For an “RPG” genre game, Crafting gear (example; weapons) should be a Basic fundamental. -
I was in the camp that craftable weapons should only be for raids and dungeons. But that was when the game was regularly updated with new content. This stale seasonal model of the same old stuff recycled with new paint we’ve got since S16 is exhausting and I don’t want to play these lame old activities to farm a roll. I’m now in the “all post expansion content weapons should be craftable” camp until someone starts putting effort into the post-expansion content.

Making the grind more deterministic is the answer. Never was a fan of crafting.
