What also sucks is why cannot I craft a void pulse yet ?

So the folks that play the game 14 hours every day can feel accomplished when they receive a 3/5 roll weapon after sweating through master-level content for 3 weeks. "sMAsh LiKE anD sUb"

Edited by xbroggiex: 1/31/2025 4:09:57 PMI just don't get why Bungie just doesn't make every weapon craftable(or even just most) but take away the ability to slot enhanced perks, and just let every random drop be enhanceable and the only way to get enhanced perks. It would be the best of both worlds. Players get a guaranteed 5/5 roll of their weapon from crafting it, then players who want to commit to grinding the weapon can do so and get a tangible reward for farming it with enhanced perks when they enhance it. Bungie can even do their "shinies" on top of that with those having an extra but existing origin trait(possibly could randomly roll from a small pool of them?) Then just make the game more rewarding(treasure goblins, power deficits and modifiers you can apply) so that players may even opt to farm a randomly rolled gun instead of just settling for the crafted. As for problems with older seasonal weapon availability PUT THEM IN LEGACY CONTENT FFS(not just the relevant exotic mission). Do a Division 2 styled rotational system so that for instance you could get Splicer guns dropping from Neomuna patrols, public events and activities for instance then at weekly reset it rotates around to Europa for instance.

Because they want you to chase Collective Obligation & Graviton Lance.

Meanwhile Bungie is making us grind out VOG weapons for the fourth time this franchise. People are gonna start hating Vault if they haven't already.

I was in the camp that craftable weapons should only be for raids and dungeons. But that was when the game was regularly updated with new content. This stale seasonal model of the same old stuff recycled with new paint we’ve got since S16 is exhausting and I don’t want to play these lame old activities to farm a roll. I’m now in the “all post expansion content weapons should be craftable” camp until someone starts putting effort into the post-expansion content.

One of the worst decisions they have made in recent history. It's the reason I didn't really do anything other than the seasonal story last episode, and from the looks of it, it's all I'll be tuning in for this. I'm just not gonna spend any more time grinding these boring repetitive seasonal activities for -blam!- stingy drop rates and terrible RNG. At least with red frames I knew I could eventually just craft the roll I wanted after 30-40 drops of pure trash. With the frames gone, so is my desire to do the seasonal content. Hey but at least the streamers who play for 12 hours a day are happy, right?
-
the new game director is just the worst. nothing but terrible decisions from this guy. don’t know his name but i can’t wait till he’s gone. i hope the game actually survives this guy.

Bungie: We are listening to your feedback. Playerbase: we want crafting back for seasonal weapons. Bungie: ok seasonal weapons won’t be craftable but we are reprising vog weapons to be craftable. I’m so sick of this the 1 step forward 2 steps back and player feedback falling on deaf ears.
-
Making content is hard, and you especially don’t want to over deliver.
-
Yep Bungie have double down and done it again. I haven't been on I act 3 and don't know whether I'm coming back for Heresy. I'll probably check it out at least. I've truly lost faith in Bungie as a developer. They aren't doing much to retain the player base and are alienating there players to cater to to the very few elitist.

Edited by Griever: 1/30/2025 12:04:39 PMBecause logic and reason are concepts beyond the understanding of the things in their offices. Among this seasons weapons, only Exuviae interested me because of how well it would work with Ice breaker and Mask of Fealty. I already got what I wanted except for the barrel or the mag (icr which). Why would I want to grind dozens more for 5 red borders to get a SLIGHT improvement to what I already have? Especially when I can't focus the seasonal weapons and have to grind an activity I don't want to do so I can get a handful of materials needed so I can IMPROVE my chances of getting the item for a limited time, which still counts down even when I'm not doing anything. If they're going to make us wait until the following season to craft new weapons, they need to add focusing after the fact and they need to make the first 5 drops of each weapon guaranteed red borders because in my case at least, I have NO REASON to grind Kell's Fall, Contest of Elders, or Onslaught Salvation.
-
For an “RPG” genre game, Crafting gear (example; weapons) should be a Basic fundamental.
-
They are adding double perks and tonic to focus the weapons. It will be jus fine
-
Yeah I would like to be able to craft the Heresy weapons, What I also don't understand is why are they trying new ways for us to get the specific weapon that we want with things like the tonics from Revenant and the new way they said for Heresy when they could just do the attunement thing like with onslaught.
-
This has already killed my desire for any of the heresy weapons. The craftable VOG weapons? Have to wait and see what new perks are available. Vision of Confluence: Heal Clip, Incandescent or Explosive Payload, Incandescent. This would be nice. Fatebringer: Explosive Payload, Kinetic tremors. Bungie plz make it happen. Hezen Vengeance: Recon plus Bait & Switch. Don't really care about much else. Corrective Measure: Recon, killing tally or recon destabilizing rounds. Just somethings I hope I see. The Arrival weapons, don't even care.
-
Yup, craftable weapons were the ENTIRE reason I played seasonal content. Bungie got WAY more "engagement" out of me when there were rewards worth grinding for (i.e. craftable weapons), compared to this season where I've barely played the seasonal content at all, because there's absolutely ZERO guarantee that I'll get anything even remotely worth my while, no matter how many hours I spend beating my head against Bungie's rng wall.
-
Let's face most of the new seasonal weapons are basically the same generic stuff we already have with the only real difference being perk combos. We've got what 100 craftable weapons and how many are actually worth using.
-
I think they should add crafting of the base versions in Act 3. So everyone can grab the rolls they want in perpetuity going forward. Add them at the end as a sort of send off. Idk, it’s odd. I can understand not wanting crafting available, but having a sort of catch up at the end would go a long way

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 1/30/2025 9:36:10 PMLack of crafting for the Revenant weapons is why it’s my least played season since Drifter. Only reason I actually finished the season pass was because of the bento thing. I used to chase all weapons for patterns. This season I chased three weapons and I settled on all three rolls. I used to have a lot to experiment with on demand during down time because that’s what crafting allowed. Now I don’t. I think I did Tomb of Elders like 3 times on day one of act 2. Other than Kell’s Vengeance I haven’t touched it again. They took away something that made the game SO much more fun and engaging for me so I’m not sure what they expected. What am I supposed to think when they just take away instead of provide more options and incentives for different kinds of players?

Edited by Boss_KADA: 1/30/2025 1:37:31 PMOne more grind and it’s VoG, a classic. I looked forward to it Funny how it got spammed during the livestream 😝 Meanwhile I’m attempting the 50 games of Onslaught and got 2 decent rolls so far

Making the grind more deterministic is the answer. Never was a fan of crafting.
