Making this in case I missed the info, will the timelost weapons we already have and worked hard for be retroactively given enchancing/origin trait?
-
No. Consider them to be alternate weapons. Same activity, new weapons. Maybe it might actually give me reason to go back into Vog and actually get that glorious Fatebringer.
-
Definitely not
Making this in case I missed the info, will the timelost weapons we already have and worked hard for be retroactively given enchancing/origin trait?
No. You may be able to enhance them based on what bungie said about old versions of reprised guns being enhanceable when the new version releases, but your in will not get any new perk or origin trait.
-
Bungie: No, because we need the player grind to up the playtime numbers. Over half of the development time for Heresy went to Eververse so you should check it out. 😉
-
Was the last wish weapons retroactive ? If not why you think vog would be
-
I’d say definitely not sadly. PvP centric weapons shouldn’t feel the difference but PvE ones will.
-
Almost certainly not. But honestly, you'll probably want to be farming one of the new ones anyway. They gave us some seriously good and unique rolls in the last 2 reprises.
-
It would be nice if they did but its an almost certain no. How are they going to push up those playtime metrics by forcing us to refarm the guns if they update the old ones.
-
-
Of course not. They love screwing over people who grind. I still can’t even enhance my Immortal Adept.

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 1/30/2025 12:42:59 AMYou do know who we are talking about here right ?

I don’t know Pete… you tell me 😏
-
No this is bungie
-
They have never retrofitted any of the existing guns when they have added new origin traits.
-
Edited by MNN8TV: 1/29/2025 8:00:09 PMDefinitely not. Unless they make a very weird change from the past, none of the old weapons will be updated. I double checked before deleting my timelost ones. I have 2 or 3 old raid weapons and they did not get updated with garden of salvation. From a code perspective all the “new” weapons are different raid weapons entirely.
