False Behavior Violation (1 Week Restriction)

Tldr at bottom. I received a pop-up message stating: "Analysis of your recent activities shows signs of automation or skill augmentation. Please refer to bungie.net/bans to understand Bungie's policies and Code of Conduct. You have been restricted from matchmaking for one week." I play on PlayStation, and as far as I know, there are no cheats available for us. I haven’t researched it either. I frequently receive hate mail, usually accusing me of cheating along with slurs, yet those players don’t seem to get banned. My typical response is either a sad face or, "Sorry I made you feel this way, hope your day gets better." The other day, I got hate mail for still getting defeats when there were only two players left. I just play mindlessly—my friends can attest to that. I assume that player reported me. When I play Competitive, I struggle—I get clapped. However, I tend to do well in most other playlists since the matchmaking is more forgiving, so I’m not sure where the "skill augmentation" claim is coming from. I rarely back out or disconnect—maybe 5–10 times out of many games, due to real-life interruptions. I’ve also been disconnected a few times due to error codes. I know if I appeal I'm going to get the automated message for me to check my internet connection, as that's the stock message they send. Not sure what to do at this point. RIP my flawless streak—I guess I won’t be doing my usual hour of Trials anymore. If this can't be resolved most likely will look for a new game or stop playing games :( Any advice or similae stories? Tldr: I don't cheat. I'm not toxic. I don't back out of games. Any help would be nice!

 • Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. If you believe you were unfairly banned, you can submit an appeal via our Contact Form. However, please note that there is no guarantee you will get a response, especially if your ban will be upheld. Additionally, ban appeals are not conducted on the forums. Once you've submitted an appeal, you'll have done all you can, and will need to wait for a response. If several weeks pass with no reply, you can safely assume your ban will remain in place.
