Fusions are too

Free. Not just with closing time. Don't frame it that way. I don't care about usage. You know they are free. Some people just have common decency and etiquette and don't want their wins to come from having a fusion plastered to their hand. Make them projectile and not hitscan if you cannot always sync the sound of it charging with what's actually happening in game. For every reason you offered for nerfing shotguns outside of usage, you ignore that on fusions. Edit What other special can be used exclusively as your primary other than Forerunner and Fusions? Why when it was a problem for shotties and that side arm something needed to be done, but it's fine for fusions?

Some people just have common decency and etiquette and don't want their wins to come from having a fusion plastered to their hand.[/quote] Back in forsaken with the special ammo changes I got a God rolled ereintil (well it was close enough), I was breaking into positive numbers 1 - 1.2ish, and I tried erintil, I got 3 we rans in 2 days, i only had like 7 total before that. I put it down and barely touched it after, it was too easy, which i found boring, and I felt it was going to build bad habits. I still stand by that decision, too much ease of use for the only trade off being pre charging imo.

            • I have an issue with Rapid Fires. They charge too fast to make it back to cover, and they instant-kill in a very long range when used with perks like Closing Time. I don't care about the other archetypes as much, because I feel that I have enough time to react to them.

                    • Fusions and shotguns need to be far less accurate. As they are now, it's almost a joke trying to run sidearms or smg. 9/10 engagents i pull out my sidearm they switch to shotty and fusion and I'm dead before I can even get their shields down and yes I'm a pro at back peddling.

                          • Fusions are terrible if in the wrong hands. Being able to pre charge around corners takes practice with the timing. If fusions were easy to use, everyone would use them. They’re so easily baited by good players too. I have a hard time using them against top players. The only people they’re good against are monkey brain titans that run in a straight line towards you

                              regardless of fusions, closing time needs to get nuked on special weapons in general. 19.20 meters of range on a rapid fire is literally game breaking.

                                    • Pretty sure one of the reasons they stated for making fusions hit scan was because of either the inconsistent hit registration that came with them being projectiles, or to make range less important as I'm pretty sure range affected their travel speed. And considering how buggy the game is now, I'd be more surprised if this didn't either butcher every fusion archetype except high impacts (probably another reason for the buff) or it somehow breaks Vex Mythoclast in some way. Better to just leave it alone.

                                      • The faster shooting ones just have no downside. The range difference from Zealots to Glacioclasm, for example, is pitiful at the cost of nearly 2x the charge time. I think Precisions and High Impacts are more or less fair given you can react to the audio cues but Adaptives and Rapid Fires are just uncounterable. I think D1’s projectile fusions were way more balanced and had a higher amount of skill expression, but I know many people will dislike the idea that fusions would then have much crazier theoretical range even if most players would not be able to consistently hit them.

                                        • learning the audio cue was a completely unreliable tell blew me away, shotgun equivalent would be idek, being able to deal damage and slide while my animation is still showing my guardian w a primary out? at least if the sniping were kept to edge cases requiring layered self buffs it would be less frequent to an extent it might actually be impressive

                                            Slugs counter fusions Fusions counter pellets Pellets counter slugs Just learn to adapt little fella. Yeah rapid fire frames are very strong, but if you get better and learn to adapt, it won’t be as bad.

                                            • I have a godly fusion with 95 range 95 impact, hate using it because it literally is free kills. I keep it on standby for whenever I come across a fusion main.

                                              • The issue with fusions that no other special weapon has is that they function as a one shot kill within the most common primary ammo engagement ranges (10-25 metres). Believing you’re about to have a primary dual and then getting one shot will never feel good. Shotgun jousting or sniper peaking is kind of accepted as a 50/50 and 2 special weapons. Fusion vs primary always feels unfair.
