Like when I’m in DEEP thought and my mind wanders to like “what is reality what if nothing existed” and then I reach that point where my mind just *blanks* and then I’m set back to where I was before I reached that moment.

It’s called “meditation”. You’re experiencing the mind growing quiet as that internal chatter slows down. The key is to learn to stay alert and focused within the stillness. …and I do it daily.

Edited by The Spoken: 3/24/2025 5:53:55 PMIt's called ADHD in my case, I can be focused as -blam!- working on the most important task; I'll still space out thinking about something else, worrying, catastrophizing and just checking out mentally are few big things I do when I'm stressed or overwhelmed, but just going to the "nothing box" part of my brain happens too, my phone doesn't help.

I always over think things and Get hit with 'existential overload' involving similar topics and got to have one hand on the big breaker switch in my mind if i start snowballing...it's pretty intense... no luck getting past the 'wall' yet if that makes any sense...

I try to avoid that because then I get depressed -
I think there are two things that the human mind simply cannot comprehend - nothing and infinity. When we think of nothingness, we think of a black space devoid of all matter, yet that still isn’t nothing. Time is still passing. It’s still a place that exists. When we think of infinity, we try to compare it to extremely large amounts of things, yet all the things we compare it to are still finite.
