Been trying to move forward with a pet project of mine which consists of original stories set within the universe of destiny made with love and a lot of inspiration from great movies in the sci-fi theme.
One of the major setbacks i've been dealing with is the setup for a "camera" to have as many people as possible on screen without the need to cycle players between roles of "camera" and "Actor".
In my latest project i'm doing a smaller story set around 2 to 3 characters, but without a warning my "actor" has died. I was using my old Xbox One to record movement and moving characters interacting with the enviroment.
The most insane idea occurred to me, can i run 2 instances of destiny to have both camera and actor under my control?
Any tips are appreciated and any support is valid. Thank you in advance!

Edited by Dragokin: 3/26/2025 2:05:51 PMHaving 2 running games in destiny sounds good but the input delay and bandwidth are bottlenecks sinking audio and for smooth camera work and if you don't have extra hands to be your camera man or some of the accessibility controllers having moving shots or more dynamic scenes could prove difficult without extra cuts and b roll to splice in post editing (I'm on Xbox and don't PC much but dabbled in camera work and game dev...)

What destiny?

Apologies for my rambling I am not sure if all of this is helpful or not I just enjoy games as an art form especially at a tool to create or reimagine other media And genuinely hope you find the solution to your projects needs If it wasn't for legality many fan media would be out doing the source material by far...more devs and directors should be working with the fans not suing them....so many amazing worlds that could flourish in an open forum of ideas...locked behind greed...

Another issue with 2 games is the investment requirements if you want to have footage in many places across the game... Requires expansion and dungeon key purchase could be problematic depending on resources available

Edited by Dragokin: 3/26/2025 2:22:42 PMIf your rig is powerful enough to run to games getting your recording programs to be on two games at once mite be tricky and hard on your machines....as far as pc your 'camera man' could run off of macros to assist with your work the only problem there is the tos for bots and macros overall any programs you run to automate a player could get flagged by the system for cheats even if it's not the case
