Never got a name change token after that one update falsely reset peoples’ names
A few months ago there was an update which reset many people’s usernames to guardian#### if you logged on early enough. I was one of those people, but i still didnt get a name change token. my old name was MasterClapper101#3126. [i]i think those numbers are right.[/i] can this be fixed?

14 RepliesHello there[url=https://tuxydoh.com/images/hi.gif],[/url] A name reset to default like that means it was detected or reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"Guardian####", that indicates that some part of the name broke the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Legal/CodeOfConduct]Code of Conduct[/url] or the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide]Bungie Name Policy[/url], was filtered, and [b]cannot/should not be used again.[/b] When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. You can try a different name if you have a name change available. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it. Bungie did in fact issue name change tokens to all players for the bug, however, Bungie is currently aware of a potential issue causing tokens to go missing.
