I have a "special" problem...
I created my Bungie account with my XBox account. Later, i connected my Steam account to it, enabled cross save and played the game on Steam. But, this Steam account got stolen, 2 years ago and i have a new Steam account with a bunch of games as my new main Steam account. Because i cant play Destiny 2 on Steam anymore, i switched to Epic Games. But now i have access to my old steam account again and i wondered if its possible to disable cross save and re-enable it to link new accounts to it so this way i could remove my old steam account and link my new account..
And if thats possible, how does ist work? Can i still access my Destiny 2 characters with my epic account, even if they were created on xbox? (Because i dont have an xbox anymore) Or how does this work in detail?

Edited by EckyThump: 3/27/2025 1:46:07 PMHey there. As of the 25th of March, it is no longer possible to unlink accounts. That means that unfortunately the old Steam account is now permanently linked, with no possibility to unlink. With that in mind, there's no reason to cancel cross-save. If you did however, it would make your XBox characters become playable on XBox only for 90 days, you would lose access to them on Epic until cross-save was set up again.
