Previously I was tedcruzsintern, and now I have a generic Guardian name. The only thing I could possibly manage is that the name of a public figure is in it, but my username has not been determined by anyone as offensive in the slightest, unless I'm mistaken somehow. Is there any way I could receive a name change to make it not tedcruzsintern anymore if this is indeed against the rules?

Hello there, A name reset to default like that means it was detected or reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"Guardian####", that indicates that some part of the name broke the Code of Conduct or the Bungie Name Policy, was filtered, and cannot/should not be used again. When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. You can try a different name if you have a name change available. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it.
