Banned from D2 830+ days ago

I just found out from a Twitch mod that a Twitch streamer who has influence with Bungie community managers, got me banned from D2 for something I said in another streamers chat. One of the super dork mods who was removed as a mod, whispered me and told me about it. How is this even legit? I appealed my ban and wasn't given a reason for my ban and that kinda makes sense as I've never ran any cheats.

 • Hello there, The forums are not able to assist with appeals of suspensions, restrictions or bans. Posting in the forums cannot assist you beyond linking you to the appeal and speculation. However, there is a process in place for players to appeal their ban or restriction. If you feel the ban was placed in error, feel free to review this Page, and submit the form at the bottom. If you have already submitted a ticket than you have done all that you can do. The appeal process will trigger a 2nd review of your situation and if the ban was incorrect it will be lifted, if found to be valid, it will remain. If more than 1-2 weeks have passed or your ticket is closed without contact, it is generally safe to assume that Bungie found the ban to be properly placed and will not be modified. Bungie will typically respond only if more info is needed or if the ban/restriction is altered. The form is for appeals only, they do not answer questions as to why or how long.
Requests for additional information, such as the length of a restriction or reason for a ban, will be disregarded. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049024492
Please note that while every appeal is reviewed by Bungie Security Staff, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that the ban or restriction will be overturned. For more information on Bungie's policy regarding bans and restrictions, please review the policy here.

 • So what's your point? You are taking the word of a disgruntled mod about a situation that is almost 3 years old without any further proof other than their claim. To your question though, Bungie has the and uses the right to remove a player from their game for any reason that breaks their TOS, CoC, or general decency. If what you said/did was found to be egregious enough and Bungie was informed, you most definitely could earn a ban. Your only action was to file an appeal to have Bungie verify the ban was placed correctly, and being well over their normal turn around time of a couple weeks, they feel your ban is correct. Bungie almost NEVER gives a reason for a ban, that does not mean they are not valid, just that they dont want to engage with letting you know why.
