Whoever thought to stuff the Nether with collectibles but not give us a free roam option should be fired. It's gotta be the dumbest design choice I've ever seen in this game. They let us free roam the Leviathan when they brought it back, why not do the same for the Dreadnought?

Here's an even better question for everyone here. Does Bungie in the current day seem like a company that cares about it's customers? Answer honestly, and then ask why any of us are still here. I promise this will be an insightful experience.

You do know the destiny teams and marathon teams are completely different and separate from each other, right? Also, no one is going to force you to buy the game, so if you don't want to, then don't. You don't need to announce it, just like how people don't need to announce when they quit a game.

Edited by Calvertacus: 4/2/2025 3:40:24 PMWe shouldn't buy the next product, not until we know it's fluid and an experience worth buying into. But one thing I will say is, whether you like the developers or not, D2 is an experience like no other. That's why the player base won't fade out completely. Ok it'll dip and struggle for numbers now that they seem to be less focussed on it but, it'll never die. The storyline, the time and effort put in over the years, the experiences with and without friends/clans, the character development etc etc I won't go on... people have put so much time (and money) into this and thats a hard thing to just give up entirely. I've been very close to it, I haven't played D2 for a very long time up until a couple of days ago but the thing that always pulls me back in is the sheer fact that it offers me what other games don't. And that's what needs to be realised. In the right hands, this game/franchise could last for another 20 years, easily. But bungie are concentrating on new ventures and new ways of building player bases and shifting their focus elsewhere, instead of looking at what they already have in front of them.... a loyal player base that other developers would sell their soul for. And I'm sorry but -blam!- Marathon, concentrate on what you have, don't break what's unbroken. The player base will soon return if you refocus your efforts back into D2, so much they could do. Reinvest and reinvent a little, release it's potential further, it's a better bet than Marathon is I assure you.

Telling you now, nobody is going to buy marathon, and when it comes to pass, bungie may be in deep shít.

Edited by Northern: 4/2/2025 5:35:09 AMHedge your bets and don't preorder. Given the state of D2, my expectations are rock bottom for Frontiers and Marathon.

Exactly
-
I mean their horrible management has given me 10 years. If I can even get half that out of Marathon, it's money well spent IMO.
-
Don't concern yourself with what "we" do and focus on what you're going to do.
-
Because hype that hasn’t been cultivated yet
-
Because we're not weirdos who buy games based on the management of another game. You should buy games if you think they'll be fun to play, which is especially easy to figure out in the age of information & demos.
-
Never preorder! if you buy a game like destiny, be smart just buy the standart version. We have seen what they did with all the money....Activison was smart they let Bungie go and Sony has fallen to their lies... That's not the Bungie who created Destiny anymore....like BioWare is not BioWare anymore.....
-
Edited by Azaezel: 4/2/2025 10:10:18 AMTbh you actually shouldn't because in the License agreement you actually accept that bungie can take away anything they want from the game you bought. I think. I think just free to play is the way with this And if it's gonna go down well it -blam!- should then
-
Good question ! I’m done my journey is finished . I’m hanging in with pvp . I only lay Quickplay now which is getting tedious . IB is as usual terrible . But I got ten years which is amazing …no other game has come close , maybe fallout or dayz but no where near ten years . But nothing lasts forever and d2 is winding down if we like or not .

Speak

Looked at the laundry list of chores they want to call act 3. Man what a joke. They are done. They are banking on Marathon and nothing else. Doors are being kept open here to have enough money to finish and release Marathon
-
oh no i have to play the game to get rewards buh uh
-
If you're talking about Marathon as being the next project, well you don't have to worry about me because as soon as it was revealed as an extraction shooter immediately made it a no-buy from me..
-
you shouldn't.
-
It could be good. Bungie has historically done the best when they are about to die out. That being said, I wouldn't go pre-ordering anything.
-
i dont trust them ^^ after heresy im done... i cant wait to the see reviews for the next one XD
-
Easy they don't care as they know if marathon is good enough people that like extraction shooters will play it They don't need the destiny players to jump over they know they can get new players in.
