Comp, 3 x invis hunters.. trials, 3 x invis hunters... 6v6 atleast 3 invis hunters...
I wonder how come Bungie, the moment something breaks PVE it gets disabled right away, but when it comes to PVP where ppl literally can lose their minds over how poor pvp already is, but nothing is done, when something as stupidly OP as infinite invis is a thing, doesn't get disabled right away...
This meta is an absolute disgrace. Not only RDM *BIG part of the problem* but TLW AND Invis over and over again. It's a disaster. It's Fubar... 🤮🤮🤮

Then after some nerfs you still see people playing hunter but then you saw that Titans are making an appearance because they have 2 things (knockout & diamond lance) + their exotics like ACD-feedback fence or peregrine greaves. And then fast forward to this season what do you see again? Hunters back at it again with their tricks. Slow (bomb), Slow (Marked by prowl), weakened, with so many ways to punish team play and so many ways to go invisible......and now there's three of them at all times. & oh would you look at that....a hunter exotic causing problems in PvP (RDM).....what a shocker. -Especially Strand Hunter with RDM (Suspend dive is such an annoying playstyle, like what do you mean they farmed my teammates and can dive 3 times in a row.) Titans made an appearance again (for a short time) before they nerfed the bolt-charge damage. It's a Hunter's game for PvP. There's no reason to play any other class when hunters have the most advantages in their arsenal. -The most PvP exotics & the most tricks up their sleeve (aspects & abilities)

I've always thought invisibility has no place in a pvp shooter. And I had the exact same opinion when i saw the Marathon trailer. You should be able to see your enemy at all times. Also I have declining vision so it's become even more hard to detect visually. It's been like that forever though so my dislike for it is irrelevant.

It needs another pass, yeah. Maybe take a look at how TF2 does spy / invis. My idea: while invisible and for 0.5s after exiting invis, you do 25% less damage. While invisible you TAKE 10% less damage. This would stop a lot of the cheeky rotate off-radar and surprise attack the enemy while they have no idea where they are. And would also let invisibility serve as a more reactive ability to let you escape (like weave-walk-lite). You could still shotgun surprise attack someone and non-rapid-fire fusions would probably still work, but the solo rotating off-radar invisible guy couldn't pulse blast you immediately after getting an angle.

You can't tell the Hunter mains this. They will argue you down! "The other classes are just as OP"!! But they won't run the other classes, just Hunter! Wonder why? 🤔 They know why, just won't admit it. Not without an argument anyway.

First it was hunter smoke grenades, then it was the rdm exotic, then the new artifact, now invisibility. Might as well just delete hunter for being a hunter. Do keep in mind if you use a ratking you go invisible on any character and it does not require a cool down, get a kill, reload and boom invisibility with 0 cool down.

This was available in d1 on demand with no cooldown. What changed to make it a problem in D2? Less visibility ?

I must have spooked an invis rabbit hole last week in trials..but when I left to play control, it was like 4/5 invis. Some say they can see invis no problem. I simply can’t. Vaguely yes, but it affects reaction time and landing crits.

It’s unbearable when you’re a solo player and you don’t run it. My last 3 straight comp matches I’ve lost to a team of 3 invis hunters. The sad thing? 2 of those matches both my teammates were invis hunters too. Honestly just stop playing like I’m going to lol. It’s not worth the headache

Invisible shouldn't be a thing in FPS games imo. If it is in the game it should be a power up the opposing teams have to fight for like in Halo

I play Hunter exclusively. I have two hunters, one always set up for PvE and one always set up for PvP. I agree this obnoxious combo doens't even belong in the game. Whoever reworked RDM needs their head examined by a team of scientists. A loop of infinite dodge energy/invis with boosted hip-fire accuracy is enough on its own, then throw TLW in the mix that was built for hip-firing with crazy range and a stupid TTK already. It just makes no sense, we thought Titans were too much when OEM was new, they got nothing on this nonsense.

The problem I keep seeing is when they changed the lighting methods. Still, I remember when I used to go into PVP for the events as a Nightstalker, it didn't matter how invisible I was, I'd still get crowned from a thousand yards away. It definitely came after I stopped worrying about matchmaking for the event cards. The tough part is, with invisibility, they can either leave it alone, or make it useless. There is no in-between. If they nerfed how invisible you are, everyone will see you, which defeats the purpose, yet if they nerf the duration, you won't be able to do anything before it wears off, defeating the purpose. If only there was a way to tradeoff. MAYBE health doesn't naturally regenerate while invisible? Even that has some problems. It's harder than you think to solve these problems without breaking the crucible.

Let's be honest, bungie at this point isn't the beacon of gaming it used to be. Devs don't know what to do, so they just throw anything on the wall and hope it sticks. So glad they put most of their resources on Concord 2...... I mean Marathon, my bad.
