Is bungie actually challenged enough to stack RNG 4 times?
Target lock catalyst for barrow dyad: room RNG, secret RNG, symbol RNG, taken blight RNG. What are the chances of actually getting it? Like .00001% after all the compound RNG? Does anyone have it or has everyone just piggybacked off someone that spent as many hours doing nether as I had to doing the Scorn Dominator triumph: 270+? Seems like a genius way to design something. Maybe I’ll just wait for the season to be over and get it from doing the quest on expert.
Oh, and Ikora is still telling me I need to get something from her. So good.

Thankfully I decided the only catalyst I needed for Barrow-Dyad was the Hatchling refit. Maybe it's unoptimal but who gives a -blam!- at this point.

maintenance team getting bonuses for extra metrics without extra content they will keep pushing our tolerance boundaries on stacked slot machines and filler grind anytime the boss' bonus is on the line these aren't the innovators of halo/destiny, this is the 9-5 maintenance team who just cares about manipulating the player consumer blob for metrics and immediately bailing to a better job once they can show progress

2 RepliesAgreed. That catalyst tried my patience one too many times. After spending days on it, I still was not finished. I quit the game. I have no intention of ever returning. Steam shows the player population is declining towards the all-time low again. You can tell players have left the game because the forums have few new posts every day. https://steamcharts.com/app/1085660#All There is no hope for this game with the current group that is developing content for it. When Frontiers is released you will be tricked again into thinking that something will change, but it will be the same old thing again.

And yet here we are. AGAIN. More layers means worse odds for what you want. No more bad luck protection means I stop playing. And I have.

They keep tying in things like RNG and needless grind, to extended playtime. On ONE exotic. All the things like "go to this location and kill 100 Hive with a sword" and crap like that..... pointless. Then having to do the SAME thing just to max out catalyst on other exotics? Same with running the same exotic missions over and over. Just to keep us logged in.

I mean by this point especially most players have been player nether each week since the season began and ran multiple times each day/week. Most people probably don't even know half of those requirements because it was completed weeks ago

Luckily now that you can load into ALL rooms as your first one instead of just 3 of them it's now a bit easier. Though I think having to load into a mission like 40 times just to get everything is insanely stupid. Imo have the room rng but make ALL secrets be spawned in instead of just a select few.
