Push the sandbox back to 2.0 subclasses
Honestly, a lot of classes have been gutted while others have been buffed.
The last time I enjoyed PvP was back during 30th anniversary. I used to sit in comp for hours just creeping my way to max rank.
Now, alongside all the class and weapon changes, sbmm etc. crucible is just a dumpster fire, which sucks because I’d 100% play way more if we had access to a playlist like that.
My opinion doesn’t really matter, I’m poo at PvP now. I lost the desire to get better. Maybe I’m just getting old. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly wouldn’t mind the idea. 3.0 subclasses basically removed warlock from PVP, it would be nice to have arc web back.

Honestly, I don't mind the idea, but have no idea how bringing it back would work. For example. On Dawnblade alone bottom tree melee is gone, the perk to Regen super on kill is gone, Phoenix dive works completely different. Grenade cooking to a healing nade is gone.

3.0 implementation is a direct source of pvp being annoying. The last time it was great was right after the 30th anniversary but before abilities 3.0 and then they ruined it and we've never gotten close since.

I never liked the attunement/tree thing. It would've grown on me if they periodically added new attunements over time but it only happened once. 3.0 is better as a system, but I agree that the options and arbitrary tradeoffs should be reevaluated.

I think it would be fun

Bungie doesn't do "PvP only." They've given reasoning for this; what you're proposing would impact the entire game.
