Zones should never be part of competitive
-
I like the idea of collision. Just that the execution isn’t good
-
Collision is dog sht. I font mind zones in survival though
-
Bad player don’t like objectives
-
100% reverse zones should be the only playlist in competitive. At high end clash is horrible nobody moves
-
I think they should be, comp is and should be about being the best you can be. And part of being a good player is being able to play the objective, the “ranked” experience should not just be clash but 3v3. It would undersell what little skill expression is in comp.
-
I’m not the best player but I actually like the objectives as it shakes games up a bit. Most of the time in clash I spend more time just running back and forth between spawns or get stuck in the spawn lol. Kind of a boring loop imo.

Survival or nothing!

Maybe a hot take but here it goes. Comp should be the same game mode as trials, and wins should drop a random comp weapon from any PAST season. Get rid of the play 3 games and get a random roll of this seasons weapon as it only brings in players that dgaf if they win or lose, they just play the 3 matches then dip. The current seasons comp weapon should be a pinnacle reward for hitting adept. Not just doing 7 placement matches. Gives people an actual reason to play the game mode, the reason the playlist is dying is because a dumb emblem is no where near enough of a reward to endure the playlist as it currently is. Doing it this way rewards players with an exclusive weapon showing they climbed the ladder, while also not alienating casual players because they can then earn said weapon the following season by grinding the playlist and getting wins. Idk, maybe dumb, I’ve had some drinks so I’m venting, but good god something needs to change with comp, and they already have a GREAT game mode with trials that doesn’t allow match tilting with heavy ammo spawns and revive farming for points. Just port it over to the comp playlist and adjust the rewards accordingly.

Edited by Avvor: 4/18/2025 12:10:17 AMZone is honestly still better than the other comp gamemode At least it makes people actually fight

I disagree. Zones promotes team play and map control in a way that slayer modes don't. If it's not objective mode, you know you're in for a waiting game of who moves into the danger lane first. Zones make you move as a team and punishes poor positioning and teamwork in a way non-objective (I keep calling it non-objective because my brain is spacing on the D2 name lol) doesn't.

100% correct

I agree. Even rift was better than this collision bullshit.
