I am 77 years young and a real combat veteran. I hate PVP in games, so I focus on PVE. However, there are multiple occasions in Destiny where you are forced to do PVP to achieve rewards, quests, etc. I believe you need to have a way to move up or get rewards without having to do PVP. If you have 12 things you need to do and 3 are PVP, then give a reward to a PVE player when they achieve 9.
Anyway just thought I would suggest that.
Is there anyone out there that agrees?

To ALL who Served / Serve - 🫡 Suggestion: Give players an option to choose either a PvE or a PvP pathway to fulfil Seal / Triumphs/ Quests, as desired. We’ve been asking for this since way back. It’s not rocket science! 🤔 That is all. Carry On! 👈

Agreed!

First, thank you for your service. Second, be ready for an inundation of annoying prepubescent keyboard warriors screeching that D2 doesn’t ”force” anyone into PvP, ignoring the fact that many of the best weapons in the game are locked behind Trials of Osiris or Competitive. Third, this exact topic has been a bone of contention with this community for years. You unfortunately aren’t the first to wonder why things have to be this way, and you certainly won’t be the last. It’s not likely to change any time soon, but hopefully it won’t be a dealbreaker for you. Peace.

We've actually had quests designed like this in the past, but Bungie has never committed to the design, as they desperately need to feed PvE players to the PvP crowd to make the game seem more alive and enjoyable for them. Would love to see more of it implemented, and not just for PvE players either. There's plenty of PvP players who don't want to engage with PvE either, so it would be good for them as well.

I agree with the sentiment that there should be alternate paths to achieving rewards for quest related things. However, when someone complains that they shouldn't have to play crucible to unlock those mode specific rewards, my counterargument to that is I shouldn't have to play a raid to unlock those specific rewards either. Somehow, that never goes over well with the pve crowd.

They should definitely remove PvP requirements…. It’s a pve game after all

If you want all of the rewards you have to play all of the game my friend. -
You aren't forced at all to do anything in the game. If you want to focus only on pve or pvp, then you can. However, you can't complain if said choice leads to not being able to earn certain things.

I served in the early 70s, so not so young either. It's a dumb business decision on Bungle's part to force one type of play onto their customers. I hate Crucible and I'm sure that a lot of PvP players would rather not do a lot of PvE. A smart company would figure out a way to accommodate both groups of players. Smart, however, is not one of Bungle's strong suits.
