Unable to Unlink Hacked Twitch Account from Bungie.net
I am writing to request assistance with unlinking my current Twitch account from my Bungie.net profile. The issue is that the Twitch account that is currently linked was unfortunately hacked, and I have lost all access to it.
I would like to unlink this old, compromised Twitch account so that I can link a new Twitch account to my Bungie.net profile. However, it appears that the standard procedure for unlinking requires access to the original Twitch account, which is impossible for me since I no longer have the credentials. It seems the process involves logging into the old account and then linking the new one.
This issue is quite frustrating because it prevents me from being able to participate in any Twitch-related promotions or rewards associated with Bungie.
Is there an alternative method to unlink the old Twitch account from my Bungie.net profile without needing to access the compromised Twitch account?

1 ReplyHi there, Thanks for reaching out. To be able to remove your old Twitch account, you must be able to authenticate it. If you cannot, then unfortunately the account in question will remain linked. Further, as Bungie entrusts players with the security and management regarding linking their accounts, we do not unlink any accounts on players' behalf. Thus, your only recourse is to reach out to Twitch's support team in the hope of recovering the account in question, which would then allow you to authenticate it and unlink it.
