The Nine are Being Assigned Planets, and Anamorphosis

Earth - Rite of the Nine Venus - Rite of the Nine After over ten years of only being distinguishable by how their dialogue is written in the lore, Rite of the Nine is finally identifying which members of the Nine correspond to each planet, as seen in the linked videos up above. You can check their Destinypedia to see what I mean: https://www.destinypedia.com/The_Nine NOTE: Also, the Rite of the Nine is quite thoroughly affirming that the Nine are entities of dark matter swirling through the planets. Venus is one of the two Upper Case members of the Nine, since the subtitles in the cutscene don't exactly hint at whether it is the one that uses punctuation or doesn't. Their manner of speaking might help distinguish the two. On the other hand, if the idea that the Lord of Every Nothing is a former member of the Nine is correct, then Venus could be Upper Case with no punctuation because the one speaking in Resonance Song is in Upper Case with Punctuation. Earth, on the other hand, is quite fond of us and speaks in lowercase, marking them down as "III" on Destinypedia, and that specific member of the Nine in any lore books they feature in. So, hello, Mother Earth, glad to finally put a planet to the voice. --------------------------------------------------------- Anamorphosis is a new lore book with Rite of the Nine, and the two entries available in-game so far show the Nine speaking and interacting with The Emissary/Orin, whose thoughts are bracketed by two forward slashes ( / ). One particular entry is Aition, which talks about Theia, a hypothetical planet in real life, and its inevitable fate. As it turns out, Theia had a life like that of the Nine as well, until it was caught by the gravities of one of the other Nine members. The speaker has phrased separated by em-dashes ( - ), and it is theorized the gravitational influence of Jupiter could have perturbed its orbit, so for now it seems VI might be Jupiter. They even refer to Earth as "III" when discussing Theia's fated collision with Earth, how it resulted in Theia's millennium-long death, and the formation of Earth's Moon. It might not indicate as much, but the fact that Theia had a consciousness like that of the Nine could imply there are other worlds out in the Universe with consciousness of their own, similar to the Nine. But again, now that we can put planets to the voices, the personalities of each are starting to shine through more.
