Dear Bungie Story & Development Team,
I’d like to share a piece of creative feedback and inspiration from an older fantasy game titled Enclave (2002), developed by Starbreeze Studios. The game tells the story of a great war between the forces of Light and Darkness, a central theme also deeply rooted in Destiny’s universe.
At the end of the Light Campaign in Enclave, players face Vatar, a fearsome and demonic being known as the Lord of Darkness. He’s not a guardian or a fallen hero—he is Darkness incarnate, twisted and ancient, commanding monsters and chaos "It looks like the Taken King but more different than it" in his domain. His design is monstrous and symbolic of raw evil—horned, armored in living flesh, and towering in stature.
I believe the concept of Vatar—not directly the character, but the archetype—could serve as powerful inspiration for Destiny’s evolving Darkness narrative. Whether as a forgotten Disciple, an ancient proto-entity of Darkness, or even a sealed being buried in the Deep, a figure like this could deepen the mythos surrounding the Witness or what lies beyond the known Darkness.
This could add a unique layer to Destiny’s lore: the idea that not all enemies of the Light are known… and that some were forgotten on purpose.
Thank you for considering this idea. I deeply appreciate the work your team puts into the Destiny universe. Your dedication to rich storytelling and world-building is what inspires fans like me to think far beyond the stars.
With respect and creativity,
Infanterius

So I think they are getting there. As stated in the reveal. This is the beginning of us finding out that extra-dimensional beings want to talk. So 3d object meeting the 4d, while the 4d is expressing the 3d as an independent thought. But, I'm guessing you want a big bad. Soon, I'm sure, and not an existential crisis type, that evil that you're looking for. A being that abhors any and everything, even itself and it's creator.
