Rite of the Nine - Loot issues / focusing

Rite of the Nine (besides the calendar problems) has been quite enjoyable... but focusing weapons makes no sense. For nearly the entire time of Rite of the Nine being out, I have had Prosecutor (the Prophecy auto rifle) focused. I have received Prosecutor exactly... and let me count just to get exact numbers- Oh, wait, no, yeah, that's right! Zero times. I don't understand the system, especially when compared to focusing any other weapon during any other event (such as the Onslaught event last year), where you would focus that weapon and it would greatly increase your chances of getting that weapon. If it is just the case that you can only get weapons from their dungeons, then what the heck is the point of focusing the entire loot pool? I don't mind working towards the rolls for the weapons that I want, but I want to know that my time is being rewarded at least with chance. I focused many, many, many Episode: Echoes engrams before I got the Line in the Sand roll that I wanted, and I drank myself into an early grave, filling myself with tonics until I got the Chroma Rush roll that I wanted. I can't find the roll(s) that I want for Prosecutor, let alone grind out its Holofoil design, if I can't get a singular roll in the first place. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? Will there be any fixes to the pool in the near-future? (If not, in regards to the final question, then I guess I will just wait until Prophecy rolls around for Rite of the Nine, because I won't waste my time in the game.)
