Will this year's content (Onslaught onward, excluding the final shape) and the rewards from the three episodes no longer be obtainable once the next expansion begins? Or will some things remain in the game, like Onslaught on the Vanguard section?

Edited by BetweenMyself: 5/15/2025 5:16:11 PMThe standard Onslaught Activity (not to be confused with Revenant Onslaught) was added to the game as part of the Into the Light event prior to the release of Final Shape, so I imagine there is a strong likelihood it will remain with the launch of EoF. As far as Episodic content is concerned we should expect the majority of it to be removed from the game, with the following possible/likely exceptions: • Exotic Missions: I would assume that one or two of the Exotic Missions featured in the Episodes will be added to the Exotic Mission Rotator, specifically Encore and Kell’s Fall as the Catalysts and Intrinsic Frames for their respective weapons are more or less fully contained within the Missions. As most of the craftable options for the Barrow Dyad are obtained from outside of the Derealize mission, I think it’s more likely that the Exotic will be added to the Monument to Lost Light and the mission will be removed. • Echoes Battlegrounds: As they are specifically categorized as “Battlegrounds”Activities, I believe there is a very high likelihood that the Delve, Conduit and Core missions from Echoes will be added to the Vanguard Ops playlist moving forward. • The Sunless Cell Strike: A fully revamped Strike returning from D1 that has even been added to the Nightfall Rotation. I would be utterly shocked if this was suddenly removed with the launch of EoF. • The “Other” Onslaught: Because the Onslaught Activity from Into the Light was carried over, the devs may decide to add the Revenant Onslaught maps to the base version in the hopes that the added variety (along with the possibility of using it as a source for Episode rewards that might otherwise be tied to any Exotic Missions that end up being scrapped) will keep players engaged with the Activity, but I would consider this more in the 50/50 range of likelihood rather than something that would surprise me if it is just deleted. There is of course the possibility that I’ve overlooked some Activity that would likely remain or there is a reason beyond what I’ve considered to not bring forward something I’ve mentioned here, but based on the decisions from previous years as to which content was allowed to remain in game with the start of a new year of content, I feel fairly confident that the above list is a realistic assessment of what we’ll still be able to access after EoF launches. Regardless, Bungie are sure to release a comprehensive list of what will remain prior to launch, so we should know for certain sometime before July 15th. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
