During your year off, they have adjusted the team balancing multiple times, and have managed only to make it even worse than it originally was. On top of that, the player population is extremely low, so you get very lopsided connections on a regular basis as well which only makes it worse (or in other words, the match might have seem fair stats-wise, but turned into a one sided stomp because players on one team had such a significant connection advantage).
