I'm about 98% confident that the Red War lawsuit is bunk. That guy is trying to claim basic Hero's Journey beats and story elements based on the same point in our history (Romans/Spartans, to be specific) as his original idea. Not to mention it's come to light that things he claims were his were published after Bungie had already released the content, meaning there's no way it could be stolen. This says nothing about how he claims aspects that aren't even published anywhere were somehow stolen from him. The guy was trying to get a settlement to avoid court fees and it's not working for him. Other than that one specific case, Bungie is pretty definitively caught red-handed stealing art assets again. I'm not exactly surprised, though; look at the people on their team and tell me there's a truly creative bone in any one of them. They get through life aping other peoples' work, hoping no one checks it, and once they get their foot through the door of a major studio it all comes back to bite them in the -blam!-. It's a tale as old as DEI.
