Interconnectivity Error [PC]

A friend and I (both in the U.S.) cannot seem to play together. If I try to join in on a session they are in, I get Error Code Rabbit. If we both try to load in to one together, I get Rabbit and their game instant closes entirely without warning. I have a 192.x IP with AT&T, and friend A has a 10.x IP with Xfinity. However, I can play with Friend B that also has a 10.x IP, and both Friend A and B have the same router types and Xfinity. My router does not have/support UPnP so I have tried even port forwarding (Destiny2P1 UDP: 3074, Destiny2P2 UDP: 3097) and this does not resolve it either. Tracert fails to both friends after 3 hops (but I can clearly play with one and not the other), but since D2 is UDP, not very useful. Whitelisted both friends in router firewalls. D2 in admin mode. It's been uninstalled and reinstalled, verified and all that. All drivers and Windows updated. How do I actually resolve this without something like Tailscale?

  • what sort of router do you have that doesn't support UPnP? that's pretty much standard these days since the general public has no idea how to set up routes, port forwarding, etc.

  • I am confused: do you actually share the same internet connection? From your words, I'd say it's not the case, but then why are you telling us your LAN IPs?
