Solar Hunter Build
Any tips? Weapons, armor, etc.?

I like to use Claws of Ahamkara for pvp, probably not a popular choice since void is preferred by most. But a well place tripmine, still one of the best kills in the game. also proximity knife (but I use it like another tripmine) with Gunpowders gamble - which is just the best!! there is a build where in PvE you can have infinite throwing knives so long as you get the kill with it, quite fun

Deadshot GG or BB with lightweight knife and solar grenade. Knock 'em Down and Gunpowder Gamble is life. Incandescent Ammit keeps them coming. I still run Malfeasance/Lucky Pants. [i]And I'll never stop. [/i]

I use: Aspects: On Your Mark, Knock EM Down Fragments: Combustion, Char, Torches, Searing, Mercy Melee: Weighted Throwing Knife, or Proximity Explosive Knife Grenade : Tripmine Dodge: Gambler’s or Acrobat’s Exotic: Assassins Cowl or Caliban’s Hand Weapon: Especially with AC- Rat King Game play loop concept: become radiant and use your melee. Ember of Torches: Powered Melee attacks, against combatants make you and nearby allies radiant. That activates second part of Knock EM Down. Then use your throwing knife, get a melee kill, it’s fully refunded. Acrobats Dodge can help with this as well. The other fragments help scorch targets, that make firespirts and help get back melee energy too. AC: powered melee final blows for invisibly and by extension healing. Rat King to go invisible more often. If you are radiant, then you are getting your melee back and going invisible a lot. CH: helps with scotch and that interacts with the other fragments with scorch, igniting and getting firespirts and melee energy back. You also get increased melee power until knife explodes. Anyways that’s how I look at it.

3 RepliesThe default is Celestial Nighthawk for GM+ PvE, but you can go Shards of Galanor to burn through easier content faster. Weapons are whatever deals with Champions, but Precision weapons are preferred for Nighthawk builds. Heal Clip + Incan is the go-to combination here for general use. In PvP things are more complicated. Solar Hunters aren't that great in the Crucible because their neutral game is weak. Most of the power is going to come from you Super, so you can stat your build to try and get there faster than other players. The other option is to work towards a "cheese" build, so something with Athrys' Embrace or a TTK shift with Radiant. Frostees/Aeon's with the Radiant dodge provide surprisingly high uptime on the Radiant buff but it's a different kind of playstyle.

Bonus points for using dragons breath. Also do not sleep on athrys embrace in pvp. It's insanely strong and way out of band but nobody uses it so it hasn't been nerfed. It'll 1 shot almost everything to the body. And it's fully refunded with knock em down and the radiant fragment. Also the most consistent way to proc golden tricorn x2. Which is the highest damage perk in the game at 50%. Which pushes all weapns into lightning fast ttks. Kill 1 guardian with gt weapon, throw knife basically anywhere and boom gt x2. Instant 7th column. There are also lots of frosties builds for 100 % on the radiant dodge. Radiant by the way pushes kill clip handcannons into 2 tap territory. Nighthawk with still hunt is a champion delete button with high uptime. Shards of ghalanor with knife trick can give blade barrages every 60 seconds with enough enemies around.
