Obviously the good players can make any class look good. However, the middle of the pack players rely on cheese (like invisibility) to win matches. For example, my warlock has .9 KD this season and my hunter is at 1.65. That's a pretty big gap, and I quickly realized that I was at a disadvantage by playing warlock. Bungie even nerfed the arc melee, which was the one cool aspect of arc warlocks. I'm not saying to make them broken, but give us a few more tools to make them competitive.

osmiomancy warlock is still one of the strongest builds in the game
-
I play both hunter and warlock. I use variety items stuff that makes me feel different and has gimmicks. I have a stag warlock build i like running since the added resist sometimes helps. And if i need to be competitive on warlock I'll run either ophids on bond or transversives. I also run astrocyte for side arm sniper. So i have variety on warlock Hunter it feels like i can play for a few hours before getting bored since its the same okd sometimes. But it is good to change it up

Edited by ben: 5/23/2025 7:56:58 AMchild of the old gods with boop melee and ophidians is better than invis lol. and icarus dash has been at least top tier since its inception, honestly even better now because song of flame is one of the best supers
-
Lightning surge is still great. Icarus dash is the best movement tech in the game. Running getaway artist rides ttk on most weapons and if not, makes all ttks easier to get.
-
From what I see you’re a hunter main, of course you are going to do better on hunter. Warlock is really viable in both pve and pvp. Some things could be tweaked but it doesn’t need a buff.
-
How many broken abilities did Warlock have compared to Titan and hunter the past few seasons in comparison. And how long it took for the nerf. Warlock Haven't had anything compared to the biased hunter and titan.
-
Restore double Icarus dash and revert all stasis nerfs
-
Warlocks are the best pvp class. They just have the highest skill gap. YOU are bad with warlocks. Warlock is not bad.
-
This has to be satire right
-
Have you tried playing dawnblade? Or the other solar subclass? They’re insanely good. Plus, now void has that broken nade.
-
Swap to Titan.. it takes no skill.
-
What? You try Titan? I use Arc Titan for the lightning nades and I run Eternal Warrior helmet for the overshield when using Fists of Havok. I still get meleed to death, 3 shots from a hand cannon kill you, or one shot from a shotty. Titans, at least the arc seems like the weakest class to me. Maybe check out some builds streamers use on Youtube.
-
Warlocks have the biggest skill ceiling
-
They are harder to use but seriously good. Voidlock is my favourite one because of the melee
-
this mean you are just bad with lock
-
I do okay, but yeah... Titans feel hell overtuned still.
-
Warlocks are the best pvp class, always have been.
-
the only problem with invis is it throws aim assist off.
-
Warlocks are just fine. I main novawarp and play casually. I have gone from silver to ascendant 1 and will play after memorial to finish the emblem. Its actually fun again once you hit platinum You will win 7 in a row, and lose 7 in a row ( two subdivisions ) Aka gold 1 to gold 3. BUT. If you take a break, walk around, play next week; you come back refreshed and hungry. Blink locks are fine, im taking warp to ascendant zero Goodluck with your gripe

Edited by Rams: 5/23/2025 12:50:36 AMWarlocks have always been good, they just haven't been the outright best (for average players) since chaos reach, and even then they were still being played less than stasis hunter. They also had the bubble titan and well meta but strand clone hunters came in and at that point every class was viable (but hunters were at the top). This is coming from a solar warlock main since D1. I played trials on solar warlock through every meta.

If you'll allow, from being a Titan main I've moved to Warlock. I run Arc with Getaway Artist (100 discipline, 100 recovery). This means my Arc Soul little buddy has almost constant uptime. (You can run this Prismatic, but you'll need to use Hellion.) I use Dark Decider or a kill clip Horror's Least as my 80% weapon, with a pulse or sidearm in the primary and a Bitter/Sweet in the heavy. This works great, but it is very map-dependent.
-
Nah, warlocks are fine. They’re in a decent spot. Of course they’ll never be in a hunters spot. But overall solid.
-
i would argue that warlocks have the lowest floor but the highest ceiling. that ceiling is interchangable with hunters, but titans are righttt under (if prismatic or defender).
