Iron Banner over Trials
I’m confused as to why bungie seems to think people actually enjoy IB. The loot sucks, it’s very competitive for 6v6, which makes it unenjoyable, and it’s not casual. Casual players to a vast degree do not enjoy it. Casual PvP exists at all times, but the game mode that brings d2 the most views of twitch is essentially nonexistent.
Trials doesn’t need to be disabled when a 3v3 with tanks and other nonsense gets released. If bungie actually believed people would enjoy that, they’ve lost their minds.
Give players what they want and stop finding every excuse to not release trials. It’s extremely frustrating and it’s why I play the game rarely now.
At this point just remove the game mode if you’re going to release it once or twice a month.

Pretty sure more players play IB than trials. I hate IB personally, but the last time i saw a stats chart, think it was like 3x the population

I don’t paying any Trials whatsoever, only Gambit and IB….the way you feel about those are the same way I feel about any competitive PvP garbage they have in Destiny. One Guardian’s trash is another Guardian’s treasure.

Edited by TwigTwig: 5/23/2025 9:08:44 PMThere's really no legitimate reason to cancel Trials for it. Both can run. I'd wager the playerbases don't overlap much. Truth is, it's just a symptom of the FOMO system Bungie has built. They can't run Trials and Banner because the FOMO weapons are on rotation and people would complain they can't farm the weekly weapon and do banner or vice versa. Just another anti-consumer mechanic.

Iron Banner was created in D1 before trials. It will never be removed

3 RepliesIt's all about population bro. Trials brings a few more twitch views but the game loses 100k active players. Iron banner adds that extra 100k active players which leads to more profit for destiny. It's all opinion on what's better, but numbers don't lie, bungie acknowledged this as well.
