Honestly used to like watching his show but the more I watched the more I realized it was a show and we were getting a very curated narrative. You need to remember that this isn't some independant and unbiased journalist documenting an animal trainer. It's his show and his people selecting "good candidates" for it. Dogs have personalities, that's why there is a selection process for service animals. Dogs can also suffer from mental illness just as we do. Every dog is a unique case and as such we can't say "Every dog will X if you Y ." While most will respond well to good training, there will always be outliers, which the show dangerously glosses over.

I think some of his approaches aren't bad, but just a note he's received a lot of heat for having outdated training techniques, or techniques that were just plain wrong. I didn't know he was still around, honestly. Going to lazily link this reddit post discussing him.

Way before him was a British woman named, Barbara Woodhouse. "Walkies!" She said that there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. I agree.

I used to watch the original TV show he did. Daddy, the dog was the best! He showed what a well handled and worked with Pittie should be. I don't like the current one much. The show makes it seem like it's a simple fix and doesn't really give a sense of the work the owners have to put in.
