Weapons from the exotic archive that need 240 spoils
Tbh it would be awesome if bungie lowered the amount of spoils needed to buy weapons from the exotic archive that are locked behind spoils of conquest. I don’t want to spent hours and wait weeks to get 240 spoils just to buy Anarchy or Legend of Acrius then do the same process to get the other.
Edit: Take a moment to think that many don’t got the time to farm spoils.

What I don't understand is why they also make it so you have to use spoils in order to use the Deepsight Harmonizers to convert raid weapons. It's dumb and almost every aspect of Spoils of Conquest is piss-poor design. Wouldn't surprise me if whoever pitched it as an idea was also responsible for Guided Games, because that worked out well.

1 ReplyEdited by HumungousFungus: 5/28/2025 9:33:40 PMVery happy that I got my Anarchy back in the days when (a) you could glitch the DSC entrance and avoid frostbite, and (b) there were - from memory - 20 Spoils in the first DSC chest. 60 Spoils a week account-wide. Four week or so minimal grind. Never done a Raid (other than mucking about getting free chests). Happy days.

I think the main issue with the Spoils cost is that it clearly assumes you're running raids/bonus chest farming on 3 characters, and doing every raid available every week. It's designed to force play metrics and nothing more.

Honestly I want them to add the ability to buy exotics that we have a hard time against rng. So if someone already did 20+ runs and haven't seen a Vex, should be able to use their 240 spoils and buy the exotic

Yeah, 60-90 would be more fair, with Always on Time dropping to 15. It’s just Acrius, Anarchy, Tarrabah, and Always on Time right?

They’re old vaulted exotics, if you want em, work for them, and spoils aren’t hard to get, farm raids that have farmable spoils and get like 30 a run, and if you do the raid fast you can get it done in like 30-40 minutes, and besides, I’ve bought anarchy, the sparrow, have 240 spoils in my inventory, and like 100 in the postmaster, it’s not a problem, you just need to work for it

Unfortunately that's the point...that's hour and weeks of engagement metrics...LFG usage and lets them see what the players want and usage data for the raids and guns...and along the way you might buy a skin off the shop watch sponsored videos of how to (raid dungeon exploit here) from a partnership streamer...no they have you exactly where they want you to make the investors and Sony happy even website traffic and social media traffic is good engagement for ads and free advertising by just talking about it... destiny is not the game WE are being played by them and that's the dirty little secret to big business...

they required u to run the raid to get them originally so it makes sense you have to get spoils by running raids to get them. 240 isnt that hard to get plus u can farm them solo.

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 5/28/2025 7:32:03 PMAcrius maybe, because it was a quest But people used to have to suffer hundreds of clears of Scourge for like a .1% drop chance and zero bad luck protection, of Anarchy, 240 spoils hardly respects thier time invested, even at that amount its still giving it away It doesn't take long to solo farm secret chests in Raids, the entrance to Kingsfall and VOG is easy and can be done without communication, and there are plenty of chests that can be grabbed solo
