Just a whining rant here
Doin ghost of deep boss ultimatum. Finding a team that’s not toxic but chill n competent is difficult. It makes it an unenjoyable grind. That said I have had some personal shitty runs myself where I died to much but getting hate chat cuz I’m prioritizing staying alive over getting mob kills so I have a lower kill count feels toxic to me. I still get kills I just take my time w it so I can stay alive cuz if I push to fast I make mistakes
Yeah get gud sucks to suck blah blah blah what ever, but it’s supposed to be at least a little enjoyable

Edited by Kildozer666: 5/29/2025 5:59:41 PMThat’s just the state of the internet. Feel lucky that Bungie has an LFG in their game and isn’t trying to “protect us from toxicity”. I do feel bad for those trying to do contest mode ish via LFG. I’d rather miss out on the contest experience than do that.

But Final encounter on Ultimatum is no joke. You got this bruv, just lock Tf in!

Mobs that you don't kill will kill your team mates while you're busy running away from them. If you're running away from them 90% of your time then you're not really contributing anymore and become a burden instead.

I’ve had couple of toxic Guardians but more than anything positive is a great joining of people

LFG has been a problem with toxicity and also the people abusing the kick on you when you get into their group. It’s just annoying how toxic LFGs just annoy the community and players having to deal with that as well occasionally being falsely kicked after joining. So yes I get you and I know how it feels with toxic LFG
-
Yeah it’s pretty tough with LFG. It makes me miss having my friends in Destiny that much more.

First of all, I never, ever, have toxic experiences in lfg. This is not a joke. Am I lucky? Maybe. Whatever. I suggest people who might struggle surviving ultimatum use a healing warlock with a gun that heals, it makes a huge difference for average to good players. We got gold in every encounter this way. Get yourself a warlock healing build, join 2 titans, or at least one, and focus on healing your team and move as a unit. DPS is easy, thunderlord or queenbreaker, or Thousand Voices for 1st boss. Good luck. Be positive.

Yep. It's the endgame and mostly speed running community fostering this be perfect or gtfo mentality. I hate that they keep featuring speed running. It's intimidating to new players and ones wanting to get into dungeons. And keeps pushing the narrative for the elitist that want perfection.

Edited by Kareem4361: 5/29/2025 10:15:32 AMOh man, that's just one aspect of it. So many people are unbelievably anti-social, rude, and toxic, I just create my own lobby, and run with whoever wants to run with me, but even then, it's hard to run with strangers, and while some people are patient, and courteous, if you try to do something, like say earn gold tier, that patience can run out pretty quickly.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to complete any activity through lfg, because people like to quit mid activity I was trying to get help with expert Zero Hour First try guy left right before boss encounter, but thankfully the other guardian was patient enough, I found one more player and tried one more time just to miserable fail because there was 1 minute left when we got to final boss, but those guys were chill and tried their best to help a clueless pve guy like myself

It’s even worse since the pop shrunk mid Revenant. So if you do royally screw up, you likely won’t be forgotten
