This two, Grasp of Avarice (GoA) and Pit of Heresy (PoH) Dungeons need a QoL update so they can be brought to current status.

Shattered Throne needs it's own weapon and armor pool (my suggestion would be Season of the Lost gear with updated perks), in addition to adding a Master mode. No need to change the encounters up from the "normal" version though aside from perhaps a mechanic change to the final boss encounter and rally flag spots. Pit of Heresy also needs it own weapon and armor pool, as only the Pulse Rifle is locked behind the Dungeon, in addition to a Master mode as well. Once again, no need to change the "normal" version as most of the mechanics revolve around the Hive swords anyway to be balanced. Grasp of Avarice is great as is, though a loot refresh would be great since the majority of the perks are outdated and not worth chasing aside from the Shotgun and maybe the Hand Cannon. Certainly the Sniper Rifle and Sword need it the most. Of course, it likely will never happen but it would certainly be nice!

Grasp of Avarice is pretty old, but I think it holds up to Dungeons like Spire of the Watcher and Duality. The more modern dungeons, being Vespers Host and Sundered Doctrine, no, but those are because they are the most modern and by extension, the best designed Dungeons. The fact that Grasp of Avarice holds up is just a sign of how damn good it is.

No point, we need new content not reworked older content. Edge of Fate will be a reset to Destiny 2 and moving forward is what matters. Bungie had plenty of time to update these over the years, veteran players don't have a purpose to run content they have completed numerous times since it's debut. Newer players have that content to enjoy as they may or may not have done it already. Bungie should just focus on the future and not the past, it's time to let go of the older content. Enjoy D2 Guardians 🫡 -
I say no because because I'd rather not have these dungeon bosses get a loads worth of more health.
-
Just update the perks on the weapons and armor, and add an explorer mode too.
-
Pit because i like the aesthetic of the weapons :)
-
Should leave em as is for the less skilled but make a master version for those who want a challenge. Not too concerned about the loot.
-
before that i think shattered throne need unique weapons, after all is a good dungeon but useless
-
My personal theory is that Pit is going to get a pretty heavy overhaul this year. Like updated encounters, New weapons and new armor set. Grasp is probably going to get a perk refresh on its weapons too at some point. But that might be dependent on when they do the Pit overhaul if my theory’s right :)

Should should should, should.

Yes. Especially because it is content we paid for yet it is useless for years now

Shattered Throne, the first dungeon Needs an update the most Needs it's own weapons and armor Needs a master mode

Edited by ben: 5/29/2025 4:58:23 AMBroken record cuz i say this all the time but yeah, not only pit and shattered throne but all raid & dungeon content from pre final shape. Shattered throne and pit desperately need it but the weapons from grasp of avarice, duality, the original versions of spire and ghosts, and even vow of the disciple which launched with craftable weapons have all been powercrept to absolute doom and despair. None of these activities are relevant at all except for artifice armour and will remain as such until the loot pool is refreshed. Honestly an insane disservice to how big of a deal new dungeons and raids are to let the loot just fizzle out over time. Imagine rite of the nine becomes a reoccuring event every year where older dungeon loot is refreshed, but A. the refreshed versions drop from the original versions of the dungeons after the event ends instead of being locked behind the event, and B. the weapons are actually good, unlike the whole elegant arsenal

PoH is my all time favorite dungeon, it needs to be updated!
