I can see LFG now, must have T5 weapons and armour or kick
The new Guardian rank system?. What's your gear tier, what world tier do you play in.
I've played a lot of Diablo and the Division, the world tiers is going to create more skill separation, those who can are going to have and those who cannot are not going to have and are going to quit.

I'm more concerned that LFG will be impossible to use, with the way we'll have to personally customize all the activities. There's no more "expert" or "GM" modes with predetermined modifiers & surges, its the player who selects all the activity modifiers, surges, etc... Imagine you're looking to join a lobby for a Master Nightfall, but you have no way to see what modifiers the host has selected or which "tier" the reward will be, whether silver, gold, etc... unless Bungie is gonna dramatically expand the amount of tags you can put on a LFG post? Even still, will ppl even use the correct ones? How many raid posts say "fresh clear" & you get invited into a checkpoint? Imagine joining a GM lobby with all solar resistance on, only to find out its an arc threat modifier.

I mean yea ofc. The toxic elitists who are the reason that this game is dead, even used the useless guardian rank system that literally says nothing about your skill or experience to gatekeep. Obviously they will also use this to gatekeep more. This game is done for imo. Let the basement dwellars play with likeminded cringers and i will just keep playing other games instead and have fun while doing so :=)

This gear tier system is "must have gally" again.

First it was “Gjally or Kick”, then “KWTD”, then “X Flawless Clears”, then “Must have personally waxed Pete’s Cars”. LFGs have always been exclusionary, and the solution has always been the same, [i][b]just make your own.[/b][/i] 60% of the time, it works every time.

Tier 4 weapons armor tier 5 armor. While the exact post is probably not going to happen, the spirit of the post will for sure. It think it will be more likely asking for load swapping builds. For years Destiny has put the idea in our head that only 1-3 things are currently META. The goal is to change that. Every decision Bungie has made has been followed by the phrase, "Diversity in Buildcrafting."

How will lfg for modifier specific activities? Will it dilute the hell out of it? Will each person pick their own modifications and only be affected by their own? How many licks will it take to reach the center of a tootsie pop? The world may never know.

Everything Bungie does comes out a half baked wet fart of what they wanted you to think it was. I wouldn’t panic just yet. Instead I would prepare myself to be underwhelmed.

Honestly, LFG hasn't been that elite for a while. The most I see is people asking for Titans or Warlocks. That's it.

It doesn’t have anything to do with the new armor or weapon systems. The same group of people will have the same LFG requirements. The same group of people will come to the Forums to complain about the LFG requirements. The same group of people will tell them to make their own posts with their own requirements. We have been down this road before.

7 RepliesIDK why people are freaking out so much about this tier system, other than the massive grind it's adding. I haven't been able to find a single news story or statement from Bungie saying tier 5 weapons will have better stats, besides the usual one adept mod slot. The only differences is more perk options. How exactly would that affect anyone's ability or skill in most content? Do you usually require someone to switch perks in the middle of a GM? No. So I strongly doubt tier 5 weapons/gear will make any difference in a raid/GM, especially when it'll probably take months for even the most die hard players to grind for that gear. People seem to be passing off their own assumptions as facts. Bungie has never said anything about boosted stats on tier 5 weapons PERIOD. You all need to stop spreading misinformation. We know next to nothing about the world/gear tier system.

I don’t think anyone will ask for that in an LFG Post. If that was the case, we would have seen multiple LFG post saying “Must have all weapons Adept + Artifice Armor” by now, but no one does that. The most they’ll ask, is to have a specific exotic or build, but that’s mainly because they just want to get the activity done very easily without much issues.

Now, please by all means explain to me how tier 5 gear is going to be a requirement.

That’s just not gonna happen, tier 5s seem to only really bug stats, I have yet to see a LFG ask for my weapons to have a certain reload stat 😂

Ya I played wow for a while... destiny is about to find out what real toxic elitism is and the carry and farm services are going to be booming pay to play clans....it's going to be so fun...and hope there's no good guns in PVP cuz if they think the cheating is bad now....
