Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten! Unless it means leaving your sister behind to become a foster child to pursue your dream of studying Marine Biologist by studying at the University of California, even though the University of Hawaii offers the same degree meaning you wouldn't have to leave your family behind, which also just disregards the entire message of the movie. I don't understand why Disney has such the NEED to change the plot and message of movies when making them into Live Actions. No one wants a "re-imagining". I thought Disney would have learned from their mistakes with live action Snow White, not to change -blam!-. No, the ending is not "more mature". It is nonsensical and ruins the point of the original movie.
also, why did they not have Gantu? And why make Jumba the villain?
