Hello everyone,
My Steam account was hacked on April 5, 2025. Thanks to Steam Support, I was able to recover it and enable two-factor authentication, so everything is now secure on that front.
However, on June 11, 2025, I received a message stating that I had been permanently banned from Destiny 2. When logging into my Bungie account, I discovered it was linked to an unknown Xbox account named "ttv63927", which I did not authorize. This linked Xbox account appears to be the reason for my ban and cannot be removed.
Before yesterday, i submitted a support ticket to Bungie explaining the situation, but my case was closed without any support, with the following response:
“Please remember that players are responsible for the security of their accounts. Appeals claiming that the account was not under the control of the player at the time of the violation will not be considered.”
Having not found other solutions, i am asking for your assistance. Specifically, I request:
1. That the Xbox account “ttv63927” be dissociated from my Bungie profile.
2. That my ban be lifted, since I was not in control of my account when the violation occurred.
I care deeply about my progress (I’ve played Destiny 2 for 5 years, logged 1,985 hours, and purchased many DLCs).
I can provide, upon request, the following proof:
1. The email from Steam confirming the account was compromised and restored.
2. A screenshot showing I haven’t played Destiny 2 in months.
Can someone please help? I don’t want to lose my progress, and I want to be able to play again without the impact of this hacker-linked Xbox account. (Precision, i only play on steam)

Posting in the forums cannot assist you beyond linking you to the appeal and speculation. However, there is a process in place for players to appeal their ban or restriction. If you have already submitted a ticket than you have done all that you can do. The appeal process will trigger a 2nd review of your situation and if the ban was incorrect it will be lifted, if found to be valid, it will remain.
